What a great shop. Fantastic service on bikes new and old. Staff was super friendly, answered all my questions and fixed my son's bike quickly. When it's time to buy our next bikes, especially one for me, I'll come back to Proteus.

Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Good resource to learn how to care and use your bike. They tuned up my bike really quickly and charged reasonable price for the service.

Stopped in today to have worn chain replaced on my Look carbon bike. Twenty minutes later job is all done and I have new bike chain and I’m ready for my next ride. Excellent service and great price. Thanks Proteus.

I was happy to see Proteus taking part in a couple events in the neighborhood. I understand that weekends for bikes shops are very very very important, however Proteus continues to send mechanics to support rides, farmer's markets, and school activities. It is always a pleasure to visit the shop. Half the time I stop in for questions - there is no pressure to buy anything. I sometimes think they simply like the company of visitors. They make everyone feel at home. (I can't resist. There is another review where a person buys a cheap Internet deal then attempts to haggle down the assembly price at a full service shop. Shops are burdened with overhead and provide a warranty with their labor. They have very little wiggle room as compared to giants like Internet sales. The assembly is what incurs the Workman's comp, health insurance and labor charges. Shops charge what they charge only because they have to. I'm certain the reviewer would understand if he know the behind the scenes challenges).

Staff is cool and knowledgeable. Tune up Prices are competitive with local shops. There is a cat, so if you are allergic, you were warned. They, Laura (hope I spelled that right), did an amazing job on the tune-up of my Specialized Crosstrail. Though, there want a break down of what was done, nor a repair sheet. But, i can feel the difference in the ride after sitting around for 4 or 5 months. There are several bike accessories for sale, definitely worth a look. They do offer weekly rides and a few specialty rides throughout the year. If you new in the area, check them out.
