Food is good, but I paid $15 for this bowl and still was hungry. Paid for extra shrimp because they only give about 5-6 popcorn shrimp & extra beans. If I pay almost $15 for a bowl - I expect to be full.. y’all definitely need to give more. I can get a $15 plate from elsewhere and be STUFFED.
Their happy hour is SO WORTH IT! Their margaritas are the best I've had in new Orleans so far. Each made with a double shot and only 5 bucks for happy hour. The 2 buck tacos are also delicious they have a salsa station which has really good pickled carrots and limes. Definitely worth it!
Very enjoyable, Chipotle style build your own Mexican but much better than Chipotle. Also while simple menu theres lots of options available good flavors and my chimichanga was fried to perfection chimichangas come topped with queso I got mine without and it's also larger in it appears in the photo it's hefty Also ordered avocado fries which were also good. Service was fast but not rushed and to me was neutral not outstanding in either direction if your looking for Mexican food in NOLA I'd recommend it :
Legit some of the beeessssttttt Al Pastor I’ve ever had! Between the killer happy hour deals, authentic recipes & Becky’s bartender vivacious personality, I find myself having dinner and margs here several times a week. Definitely my favorite Felipe’s location.
Came here with a bunch of friends, my first time here. One of the best Mexican places to eat at and enjoy a live band and have great laughs and conversations I recommend the fresh lemonade
Great locally owned Mexican restaurants with a few locations. Made from scratch margaritas, tacos and burritos. $5 sangria and margaritas and $2 tacos for happy hour. Tried the avocado fries today!
Uber Eats order just came EXTREMELY OILY. The bag the receipt and the tacos were drenched and soggy. The tortillas were also burnt. First time trying and it’s pretty gross.
Updated - 9/16/22- had 3 yummy tacos with ground beef, refried beans and guacamole and it was delicious. Friend had this lovely bowl of soup. There was live music a but loud inside bar was full, outside had plenty of diners. We enjoyed everything. Previous-Had regular burrito with grilled chicken, rice and refried beans. The rice was a little dry as was the chicken. I asked them to cut up chicken a little but they refused. The guacamole was fresh and delicious. The brownie was good. I find that some times everything is fresh cooked, sometimes not.. I WAS CONTACTED by management and they graciously addressed my issues. Big thumbs up to Felipe's! I'll definitely return soon!
I find that it's not the same as Pre-Covid. I'm not sure what's off, but something is missing. However, the food is still good and the service is still quick. I usually get burritos or a taco salad. Vegetarian options: Veggies and no meat options. Kid-friendliness: It's not upscale and kids would be comfortable there. Parking: Behind the business is a parking lot. Wheelchair accessibility: You can access it from the parking lot behind the business by wheelchair.
Slow-moving line but worth it for the food. Pretty cheap to get a healthy bowl, plus the self-serve salsa bar is grade A for including limes, radish and pickled onions. Open late with a chill bar. Honestly just way better than a fast food ish place has any right to be.
