Diablo shrimp was flavorful but not spicy. The green salsa however was quite spicy with a really good flavor. Service was good and the margarita was pretty good as well.
The food was good and we walked through the bar to the back to get to the restaurant. It was just a different experience. Not bad just different.Food: 5/5
Do not be fooled by the good reviews like I was. Do not go here. Absolutely garbage food. Burrito was raw black beans from a can, white rice, some mystery meat, and stale lettuce. That's it. No sour cream, no cheese. No pico, sauce, cilantro, or anything. Smelled like a sewer and music was at a punishing volume—and I was literally the only person dining at 8pm on a Wednesday.
They’re food is good as long as you can find someone who speaks English to actually take/place your order. Trying to order to go is a nightmare they will just hang up on you. ‍
Came here because I was looking for a nice place to dine with my family and saw how many great reviews it had. The restaurant smelled awful and we had seated ourselves since no one welcomed us or anything up front. After we sat ourselves, it was probably a whole 10 minutes after someone brought us a menu. The waitress was nice. We were the only ones in the restaurant and for some reason our food took over 40 minutes to come out. And the worst part is that all of our meals were all cold. Very disappointed to have wasted our money here. I just don’t understand how this place has so many good reviews. Go eat here at your own risk.
Overall best Mexican place in NOLA!..The older lady at the bar was so welcoming, even after the kitchen had closed she offered to restart it and cook us a meal. Great wings and even better drinks. Highly recommend checking this place out! Made my whole group feel like we were part of their family was able to choose music on the beatbox and dance the night away. 10/10 will be sure to stop by again on my next trip to New Orleans !
Love the environment, front is more of a bar-type scene and back is quiet. Food is absolutely fantastic, as is the service. I eat a lot of Mexican, all over the place, believe me when I say this is good Mexican food. Very accommodating, friendly, helpful, and timely. Restrooms are clean and cozy. I will most certainly be coming here again!
Again, the staff stands out. These folks dig cycling..and it shows. Review: Bicycle Michaels earns my "Yeah, but seriously. How Good was it? ***** So Good, So Damn Good
Cool little spot. They have a solid bar in the front, point pool table, and a dining room in the back. We had tacos and enchiladas and both were very tasty. The chips were fresh and the margaritas were tasty. Much more authentic than many Mexican spots in New Orleans
Moved down from Chicago a year ago and hadn't found a good enough replacement for the mexican restaurants up there, until now. Except for the red salsa being kinda mediocre, this place is a godsend for someone from the north looking for a great burrito. Definitely gonna be ordering from here frequently.
