Found this little gem while searching for lunch close to our hotel. It’s soooooo hot out there! I rarely order chicken salad, but it was the special & the mix in of cilantro & jalapeño is right up my alley. It was delicious! I also got the last one. There were threats of mugging me on my way out…. All in fun. My daughter got one of the steak subs and it looked amazing as well. And huge! I’m assuming it’s a family owned joint. The folks running it are super friendly! Brownies on the house, too. Loved it! Will definitely be back.
Ran into this small sandwich shop while looking for a lunch spot in the Leather District. Got the Big Steak sub with a side of a brownie that they had for a dollar special. With thousand island dressing, the sub tasted vaguely similar to McD’s cheeseburger but I enjoyed it overall. They also have a rotating daily specials and I’m interested in trying their pochetta sandwich
I can hands down say this is the best sandwich I have had in the past several years, maybe ever in my life. I went during my lunch hour on work and split with someone both a Cha Cha steak, cheese, etc and a Stichino eggplant, tomato, etc. I can arguably say I’ve never had an eggplant sandwich that packed that much of a punch. The flavor was off the charts and I’m so glad I found this place. When anyone asks me where to get a sandwich, this is going to be my number one answer! I can’t wait to go back and try more sandwiches.
I just went once to this place and it's ok. I did not like my sandwich that much but they have many options that my friends loved. I had the stack pizzaiola just in case you wanna know. You have to order to go and if you pay cash they give you a dessert for free. This made me really happy because it was the best thing of my lunch. Sizes are big and prices just ok. It worth to try it out
Had an hour to kill between buses, and of course is was pouring rain. Didn’t want to walk far but found this place a block away from the station. Staff was welcoming and helped me pick out from their 26 different sandwichesnot including secret menu. Got the Sonny Corleone wrap which was so good but that chicken parm on the special board kept calling my name. Plus I had to try their bread before I left so I ordered another sandwich. Also incredible. 10/10 would get soaked again.
Figaros is a great Boston find. It’s a great lunch spot known for its lunch sandwiches and Italian family-friendly service. While most people prefer the nice selection of hot and cold sandwiches, I prefer their chili, which has just the right amount of runny-nose causing hotness. If you are lucky enough to be in the area for breakfast and they aren’t closed preparing for a catering job at that time, you can feast on the ultimate, an egg, meat, cheese, and hash brown breakfast sandwich on your choice of breakfast breads. Seriously, it will rock your breakfast world—and your waistline. I highly recommend it. The only downer? It closes after lunch. Understandable, but sad times for those having a later lunch.
In the realm of sandwich shops, Figaro's is on the higher end. The sandwiches are simple, but put together with high quality ingredients. For example, instead of some generic sandwich roll, you'll get a hearty ciabatta. Instead of a regular mayonnaise, you might get a pesto mayonnaise. My favorite is the Cha Cha... Imagine a big steak and cheese with some sharpness from red onion and a light tang from some honey mustard. Be sure to get a blondie -- they're soft, chewy, sweet, and big enough to split between two people. You can tell the staff loves to cook and loves working at Figaro's. They're making great food and having fun doing it.
If I could give this place SIX STARS I would in a heart beat!! The owners are phenomenal, the workers are friendly and talkative, and the environment is very welcoming. Best meatball sub I've ever had in my life without doubt. God Bless Figaro's
Fantastic food from the greatest people! Their salads and sandwiches are always top notch - fresh & delicious. They've also been doing dinners to-go or delivered for larger orders during the pandemic so on this visit I was picking up several days' worth of beautifully prepared dinner entrees that I had ordered in advance. Everything was packaged perfectly and the food was outstanding. Highly recommend every single thing I have ever gotten here. 14/10
Italian sub was one of the best I’ve ever had. Perfect amount of hots, onions, lettuce and seasoning. Cold cuts were top of the line. Also knew it was gonna be a good spot when I walked in and they were playing Juicy by Biggie Smalls. And when I asked if they put balsamic on it the kid gave me a funny look and said that’s not supposed to be on an Italian. I’ve had plenty of newer sub shops that for some strange reason think putting balsamic on an Italian sub is ok. It’s not and this needs to change. Anyways, their Italian sub is an amazing sub and I wish they were opened on the weekends. It would be worth the 15 minute drive into Boston but I’ll enjoy this spot as my go to Italian sub spot when I’m in work and craving a sub
