Get a sandwich and then go sit in the Common and soak up Boston's 2 months of summer. Sandwiches are solid, they're aren't "the best", it's a sandwich. Friendly service.
The place looks like a whole in the wall a little warehouse. I must say even though the appearance of the place was horrible for me and indifferent. I still went to order my sandwich rye bread with pastrami with cheddar cheese, strings of mozzarella cheese, and swiss with a hint of mustard, lettuce and tomatoes topped with 6 jalapeno. The sandwich was awesome. The worker did wash his hands and put on gloves. He did rinse all the veggies off. He prepared a double layer of protection while making my sandwich. And I tell you this place isn't cheap when it comes to putting meat on this sandwich. So I will be returning back again. A friend referred me and at first I was like no way! They got to be kidding me. I am glad I gave this establishment a chance. I am very lucky about what I put into my body.
The deli sandwiches are good here, I would stick with the Boar's Head meats the buffalo chicken wrap I had once was essentially chicken nuggets in a tortilla with some lettuce and a ton of sauce. I haven't tried the hot bar or salads. They are pretty quick and the menu is big. I think you can order online and they do cater for groups. Good selection of sodas, seltzers, etc. and chips. Solid lunch place downtown.
Great sandwich shop downtown, they cut the cold cuts right in front of you. The menu is huge, so you have a ton of variety. Would recommend their garlic and herb shaved steak sub.
I have been to this place many times. The sandwiches are made from scratch, fresh and the meat is a good sized portion. Not today. I trekked through the snow and rain to get one. The sandwich was fine except it was basically missing the meat. A very tiny slice of roast beef and a very small amount of shredded turkey. Yes, I said shredded as it wasn't even a slice, it looked like the end of a loaf. I am so upset I wasted my time and $8.55 for a sandwich that has left me starving. I now have to go out again to get something else. They have either changed hands or are now cutting corners with their sandwiches because this place is no longer the fantastic lunchtime destination in Boston that it used to be. Boar's Head and Lambert's would be shocked by the pitiful sandwich I was just served. bummer.
Bad experience here ! Rude and unfriendly staff… they yell on me because a take a can of bier… they sell only by pack of 6 !!! I don’t want to drink 6 beers, only one !!!!
some of the employees making the sandwiches seems to not understand the orders or pay attention to your orders. Keep messing up my orders, or making me repeat my orders multiple times it has happened. The sandwich itself does not taste bad, but seeing that they got it wrong after taking it to go to your work place is just unpleasant
Best sandwiches. And best service nice family business
I always visit the salad bar in Dorchester, everything is fresh, especially the turkey and chicken for the salad bar I give them a 5. This ok new is very expensive, does not have a great variety and the meat is not fresh and hot.
