It’s a great place to do work on your computer or just hang out. 2 floors with different type of seatings including an outdoor section on the top floor. Normally too hot to sit out but the evenings are perfect. Very clean with comfortable seatings. Outlets are somewhat limited but not terrible. Ample options for food if you want to come for lunch/snacks/dinner. Music just enough, not obnoxiously loud like most coffee shops.
Love coming here for a quick bite and coffee. This location has a nice roof top patio and tons of seating. So far I haven’t been disappointed by any of the food choices.
The place itself is nice, the atmosphere is good for working, meatballs are delicious. But first it is really cold inside, second the staff doesn’t care about customers. The table on the second floor was dirty after people before us, I personally went down and asked 2 people twice to clean it up, they didn’t. We stayed for at least 3 hours there and all this time we sat with the garbage on out table! That’s terrible!
About 15% pricier than starbucks and other locsl cafes, but they provide wifi, Free water, clean bathroom, and comfy seats, and hence the place deserves 5-star rating. I tried the marzipan cream cake - a little pricey $5 for a small slice of cake. I remember having seen similar cakes on my trip to Sweden. Only problem - not enough power outlets. I also wish that the kitchen stays open longer. I was hoping to try the meatballs and lingonberry sauce but the kitchen was closed early so i settled for the green cake instead. Price of entree and sandwiches are quite reasonable ** Beautiful patio at this location
The best sweedish coffee experience in the city. The cafe is bi-level and very spacious with various seating arrangements plus a terrace. The coffee is dark and a reasonable price considering how much time you may spend here getting work done or reading a book. The pastries are Nordic including chocolate balls and princess cakes amongst classics like croissants. The WiFi is fast and free and there is a great window into the bakery to see them make the pastrys, which also get shipped off to the other fikas in the City.
Nice Swedish coffeeshop on the upper west side area. Teas are nice, coffee is average. The chocolates are great and so are the pastries! Plenty of seating on both floors, several power outlets available. Internet connection is fine.
This review is solely on their food. It is excellent. Always fresh and delicious. My favorite meal right now is their baked salmon with potatoes and greens. The 10th Ave. location in Hells Kitchen is beautiful and a great place to spend some time alone or with friends. In the warmer months there is outdoor seating on the second level. I'll update my review after sampling their coffee.
It's a clean place I'd definitely recommend. The coffee is smooth, rich, and semi-bitter; much better, in my opinion, than that offered by a certain chain coffee house found on every corner. For $14 + tax, the meatball platter comes with a small leafy salad with cucumbers and cherry tomatoes dressed with a vinaigrette concoction. It matches well. A side of extremely sweet blueberry dressing ? is offered, but I found it too sweet to go well with the dish. The meatballs are savory, are cooked correctly not raw, and have more meat than bread. The mashed potatoes are creamy with little potato chunks inside, though they err slightly on the salty side. I recommend this place for a calm, coffee shop environment and would definitely return.
Clean, calm place to take a break from the city hustle and bustle. Good coffee and good selection of sweets and savories.
This shop has airy, open, skylit space with two tier seating. Whoever thought of selling chocolate truffles with coffee was a genius. The espresso itself is a cut above typical Starbucks fare ie not burnt but not necessarily destination foodie worthy. The quinoa hazelnut truffle had a slight crunch and nougat flavor - it was a mix between a kit Kat bar and a 3 musketeers bar, but obviously much more balanced and refined in flavor, sweetness, and overall delight.
