Pastrami was flavorful but not too fatty. Kishka was some of the best I've ever had. Gravy made the dish. Was in a large party with many separate checks and the wait staff and kitchen handled our order without a hitch. This under-heralded deli is great to go if you keep kosher and even if you don't.

Best pastrami I've ever had. Soup plus half a pastrami sandwich. Heaven.

RUDE. I had never been there before and I stopped by and ordered a corned beef sandwich on my way to a show. After I ordered at the counter I noticed that there was a room full of mostly empty tables to my left so I walked towards them to sit down and was yelled at, and told that I cannot sit at tables unless I payed for table service. So I asked what do I have to do to sit down and was told in a VERY RUDE nasty manner that I cannot sit at tables unless I do table service. So I told the jerk at the check out register that I will eat my sandwich on the sidewalk in front of the store. And I will tell my friends that I was meeting not to eat there. The people behind the counter all looked at me and laughed at me while I was eating my sandwich on the sidewalk in front of the deli and when my friends arrived I told them the story and they would not go in. It was unnecessary and I regret going in and never will again.

I almost didn't go in because the reviews were just ok. I'm so glad I took a chance. I ordered the pastrami sandwich on rye. It brought me back to when I was a kid and you could find a good Jewish deli all over New York. It was delicious, truly! It came with a TON of pickles and cole slaw. The big surprise was that the service was delightful. As a dark skinned, large, black man, I know that people who look like me are uncommon in this setting. Without regard to my appearance, I was treated wonderfully and enjoyed every moment of my experience. Thank you thank you thank you. I can't wait to return.
