My meal at Fiorella was a deliciously curated experience from start to finish. My friend and I opted for the community table dining since regular table reservations are difficult to come by. We loved the feel of eating dinner inside someone’s home — the upstairs is small and cozy, while the kitchen is within view of the guests. The two appetizers in our prix fixe menu were delicious and definitely left us ready for more. Amongst the pasta entrees, the ricotta-filled gnocchi and lobster sacchetti were our absolute favorites! Those two dishes were quite possibly the best pastas I’ve ever had. The remaining pasta dishes were also quite good, though I will say that my friend and I both felt the rigatoni was too salty. Last but not least, the upside down plum cake for dessert was also quite good. There was some olive oil drizzled on the plate, which I found a bit confusing in terms of flavor, but otherwise it was a solid dessert. Overall, I thought the community table dining experience was very unique and would love to replicate it with a group of friends next time. I look forward to returning for delicious pasta again!
I had wanted to try this place for so long, and finally, I spontaneously decided to stop in to see if I could get an opportunity to taste some of their menu! Nothing disappointed me - the menu albeit small, had multiple options I would’ve tried. I chose the pear saltimbocca as well as the rigatoni. Everything was fresh and flavorful. My server Kelly was friendly and seemed to manage her time efficiently as she seemingly waited on everyone indoors. I will certainly be back and recommend to my friends and family!
Extremely disappointed. As many other comments have pointed out, the Rigatoni pasta was excessively salty, tasting overwhelmingly of salt. The ragù itself was overly seasoned, and the pasta seemed to be seasoned four times too many. disappointing On a positive note, the pear saltimbocca was great, and the focaccia was good. Our 'outdoor patio' experience was less than ideal; we dined with jackets and winter hats, half freezing. Consider closing the outdoor patio during colder months or making it better? IMO, dining outdoor in such conditions is not acceptable. Please take a look at the outdoor patio experience. I cannot recommend Fiorella seasoning + outdoor patio in winter. I strongly urge a seasoning check per multiple similar comments, just too salty. I wouldn't have booked outside with so little effort put into keeping us warm. Some people do it well. Tonight, the outdoor experience was not okay at all.
Incredible fresh made pasta. The cacio and rigatoni are not to be missed. With the latter, the in house sausage is so flavorful and fragrant. I must also mention their delightful Caesar salad. Otherwise, very unique atmosphere with bar seating facing the galley. I recommend trying to get a seat at the bar if it all possible. I would consider the pricing fair. All in all, my favorite pasta in a city of great pasta joints.
Hands down a legendary pasta bar. This place lives up to the hype without a doubt. We grabbed heirloom tomato tart and tempura fried squash as appetizers. They both were very big good. Then came paccheri with the octopus - that was a phenomenal dish and unique I haven’t had that anywhere. Then came the tonnarelli cacio e pepe, which was the best cacio e pepe I have tried as of yet. It’s an easy dish but perfecting it is not that easy. Then came the rigationi with fiorella sausage ragu - that was phenomenal was well. I mean hands down a legendary place to grab pasta. Five stars, easily. Highly recommend for pasta lovers!
Walked in right as they were opening last Sunday got seated right away. Very unique restaurant I had the paccheri with octopus it was great. Then topped it off with the bread pudding which was also excellent. Kelly was my waitress and she was superb as well very helpful and provided great service I can't wait to go back!Food: 5/5
I love pasta. I love making pasta eating pasta all things pasta. This place is the real deal people. Heard about it via Somebody Feed Phil and it far exceeded our expectations. Staff friendly and accommodating as we got there well before our reservation. Food was next level as well as the service. Nice little touch with the chef personally delivering our first course. Pasta water Martini may be more of an acquired taste but it may just be me, had to try it because it was unique even though I knew vodka was not my favorite spirit. We WILL absolutely be back each time we visit philly. Please bring a satellite to Pittsburgh so we can enjoy it on the regular!!! 10/10
The whole experience was extraordinary! We stayed at the chef's table and we highly appreciated the hard work that went into those excellent pasta dishes. We tried 4 pasta dishes and none disappointed us, exquisite taste and of the right size. The cocktails were amazing too. The service was great. Simply fabulous!Food: 5/5
We went to celebrate my boyfriend passing his license exam. They had a pre fixed menu that involved raw scallops. I didn’t eat the dish since I’m paranoid about undercooked scallops let alone raw scallops and my boyfriend got food poisoning. I tried to call and talk to them about it and it went straight to voicemail. He started feeling sick on the car ride home and I feel fine. The only dish I didn’t eat was the Scallop Crudo
The most delicious pasta dishes I've had in a long time! Very small intimate place with an open kitchen. You get to see the chefs work their magic! The main focus is the pasta since it is a pasta bar and wow it blew me away! Every thing we ate was fantastic. My favorite would have to be the Gnocchi dish, little pillows of heaven! But you can't go wrong with any of the dishes! Highly recommend!!
