Let this be an example of how to make things right with a long-time customer. After going here for many years, I had my first less-than-satisfactory experience there in April getting my tires replaced. I caught them on a bad day, down on techs after the manager had just been transferred to a different location. I submitted a review about my experience. Shannon, the Area Manager, called me personally and graciously apologized and asked what could be done to make things right. I don’t expect businesses to always be perfect, we are human after all, but their response to the situation was very impressive. This organization really values their customers.
This Firestone lost my car, they had it towed away a week and a half after it was towed to them and did not even reach out to me. They did not compete any repairs or service checks like they said they were going to and then avoided my calls for multiple months. Over the past three weeks I have called customer service numerous times to try and figure out where my car was, only to be told that the next person up the ladder would call me. I, by myself, figured out which towing company my car was at which Firestone already knew and did not tell me, but they won’t release it to me without Firestone’s permission. Effectively, Firestone has stolen my car and has done absolutely nothing to fix the issue. My original car problem isn’t even fixed and I’ve had to drive a rental the last three months, which I’ve had to pay for out of pocket, and I will now have to pay for additional time and an additional company to fix my car. This entire situation has been ridiculous and had been a reminder that we the customer do not have any power, even with big items like our cars.
The price quoted for rear brakes shoes & drums was $100 & $150 more tha two other quotes. I appreciate the price match $500 provided upon my inquiry, but was informed that my out of state quotes would not be accepted in the future I live in MI & work in Cbus. I was informed by phone that two wheel bolts MAY need to be replaced and granted my permission at $100+ to do so if necessary. When I picked up my car, I was informed the bill was more than $600. When I inquired, I was told it was due to the wheel bolts $100 in labor for parts under $20. I wish the manager checking me out verbally noted the change in price and justification for it without my inquiry. The transaction left me feeling that the shop processed additional work to get back up to the original price point. When I got in my car to drive it away the brake pedal hit the floor - I did not arrive to the shop with this problem. This was serious salt in the wound and further made me doubtful of the quality of work. The break lines were bled. Upon my request the price was lowered which I appreciated given the series of unfortunate events.
The employees were very kind and informative. They also seemed very trustworthy by being really descriptive when discussion options and next steps, which hasn’t always been my experience when it comes to auto related work. Jesse was great as well the other people working that day!
Jessie and Christian did a fantastic job quoting me tires, setting up the appointment and communicating during the process. I shopped around A LOT for new tires for my f150. The Firestone Destination LE3 fit my needs and budget. Couldn’t be happier. Please use this shop. They’re reliable and have always met the timeline when I have used them. Over the years I’ve head at least 15 services performed here. Will continue to use them in the future and will recommend them to friends and family.
Took four days to do a job that was supposed to only take one day when I first called and asked if they could do the job. Tried to sell me unnecessary and unsolicited repairs before even listening to the reason I took the vehicle to them or ordering any parts. They were not very courteous on the phone and I had to call them every day to get information and updates instead of them calling me to let me know what was going on. When I went to pick up my vehicle, they didn’t even speak to me when I walked in the door. It’s like I was bothering them just to say my name and that I was there to pay and pick up my vehicle. They left grease I’ll over the door, steering wheel and console. That is the worst Firestone I’ve ever been to out of three different states!
Jesse was great to work with. I blew a tire on my way to Columbus for a work even during the Arnold Sports Festival. They had my exact tire on hand and was very reasonable on price. Thank you for helping me out.
Had a flat tire in the morning and got my car towed here ONLY because they opened earlier than other shops7am. I got there around 7:40am and there were no other customers waiting but garage looked decently full, which is understandable because I didnt have an appointment, but they said they would try to get me done asap. During the check-in, the guy at the desk said they had 3 tires in stock but a cheaper option at the Westerville location, but it would be a couple hours before he could get someone to get that one picked up so I said, no go with the more expensive option so it's done quicker. After two hours of waiting, I was told they don't even have the right size tire here because the guy at the front desk looked up the wrong tire size and they would have to send someone to pick it up anyways. The fact that it was two hours before they even realized the guy looked up the wrong size tire is what is really annoying. He works at a tire shop, looked at the car himself, and wrote down the tire size and still didn't get the right size? Not a single other customer came in to pick up a finished vehicle while I was there. So to me that seems like it would not have been an issue to have pulled my car in the garage when it got there at 7:40am and figured out the inventory issue earlier, so that I could have just had them pull the car out and I could have gone next door to Goodyear. The whole process would have been quicker if I just waited until 9am when other shops opened and had it towed there, because I've NEVER had a tire replacement take this long at any other shop, EVER. It was exactly 3 hours 20 minutes for one tire replacement. They took 10% off without me asking, but discount or not, I believe it would have been a better experience somewhere else
Visited Firestone today to get a second estimate for rear rotors and brake pads after I was told by Grismer it was time to replace. Ronnie called about an hour after i dropped my car off and was told that there was still time left on the current pads and rotors. I really appreciate the honesty and will be back once it is time for the work to be completed.
Tech was nice and got me in . Tire was less then a year old but had no warranty. Firestone as a company all they want is money. I brought my car to them for a coolant leak and guess what 800 dollars later and the car still leaked coolant. When I mentioned it they said my car is known for leaking coolant and it's almost impossible to get it to stop.brought it to another shop and they said they can fix it for $400 after the $800 I payed to firestone later to find out they replaced parts not even related to the coolant. Look it up . Pickerington shop. I didnt have the $400 so till this day my car still leaks coolant. Firestone is a scam and I wouldn't recommend them. If you want better reviews fix the problem or refund the money if you can't. It's fraud when you pay for something and don't get what you pay for.
