When I lived in Texas, I used to go for drives to explore the state. On my meandering way back to Houston after a solo trip to the Alamo, I drove through Sutherland Springs. So, when I heard, from the comfort and relative safety of Australia, that the town was attacked in such a horrible way, I couldn't help but feel a tiny fraction of your sorrow. It's not even half a year ago, and Sutherland Springs seems to have been largely ignored by the media, the legislature and the so-called president. I'm not a praying man. My reasons are many, but in the wake of such tragedy, it should be obvious to anyone why I don't pray. He wasn't there when people needed him, why would he be there after?
