First Evangelical Free Church

We looked for a church in the Springs for about two months, visting 6 congregations. This church feels like home. Pastor Rob is knowledgeable and thoughtful, the sermons were on point and rock solid. Worship was nothing over-the-top, but unlike many loud churches, people actually sang and worshipped along! It was refreshing to hear everyone contributing and participating. It's a great mix of young and old and after the church picnic a week later, it was clear how warm and incredible this group of people is for new believers or those seeking a church. I have only three requirements for a church I attend. I found two of the most important at First Evangelical Free church. 1. Jesus must attend on a regular basis! I felt HIs presence there. The pastor and his wife and others were so caring of me as a new attendee even through my hospitalization. I also enjoyed the Tuesday evening Bible Study as well. 2. The songs sung should have His Name in them so I will know about Whom we are singing. I could even remember the words and sing them throughout the week. The music director and his wife were wonderful additions to the worship service. 3. A bell choir! Sadly, it was missing, but even as a confirmed "Ding a Ling", I was able to overlook this one down-fall for the joy of the first two. Praise His Holy Name! I didn't join the church because I will be moving to Denver very soon where my son has a new job, but I was all the more impressed when I learned that my daughter-in-law's missionary parents were sponsored by a First Evangelical Free Church for their 18+ years working with the tribes in the jungles of Bolivia. I am considering making a monthly trip to visit the people I have come to love. May God continue to bless your ministry to His people.
