I tried to cash a check from this branch from a well know business in Hawaii who banks with this branch. I was told the bank didn't have enough money to cash it??? Really.. it wasn't that large. I had to go to a check cash place and took a 1000$ lose. Even then this bank would not release more than 1 third of the check and said a 10 day hold on rest of the amount . I'm very confused.. no money , and the same time place a 10 day hold on the check. I feel they should reimburse me the 1000 due to the fact that they can not pay out on there business accounts . What kind of bank is this? NO MONEY
I don’t understand why FHB opens when people are busy working. 8:30-4pm, every time I finished work and go to the bank the bank is closed already. And on weekends when I’m off the bank is also close. If you are working in a government offices Monday to Friday 8am-4pm then FHB is not the right bank for you because they don’t cater your time availability to go to the bank. You really have to request 2hrs break time or a half day off if you have important transportations with the bank. I know I’m selfish but FHB is also selfish. They could at least close Thursday and open Saturday but who am I to say I’m just stating my opinion or at least open half day on Saturday. This is why I have accnt in different bank because of FHB inconvenient hrs and I DON’T TRUST doing transactions by phone.
Craig K. I go to First Hawaiian Bank to do all my banking. I go to see Victor Tom Jr. Whenever I have questions and he always very helpful, polite and professional. He patiently explains everything till I understand. The staff are all friendly and polite.
Debbie K. First Hawaiian Bank the tellers are all friendly and patient. Victor Tom Jr. I know him from when he was at the Liliha Branch. When he left the Liliha Branch and went to the Kalihi Branch I too went to the Kalihi Branch. Victor is super friendly and patient. He's very helpful and explains things well making sure you understand. Victor Tom Jr. Is the best. He's a my go to guy. My friend.
Horrible for the handicapped!!! There is only one handicapped parking space. After having to park in the back of a large parking lot since the one spot was taken, I then had to stand for 45 minutes in a very long and VERY SLOW line. All that and the bank doesn’t even allow for a car loan payment to be made online. It’s absolutely ridiculous and hideously painful for the disabled.
i work accross the street at new city nissan this location is convenient for me now @03/05/14 at exactly 3:55pm i was in the line downstairs the clerk insisted that they are closed she wants me to go upstairs and do my transaction ...That made me feel unimportant and i have to so its convenient for her to close her windows she must be in the rush to go home but you see as a consumer point of view thats not acceptable when your bussiness hrs stated 9:00am to 4:00 pm you have to honor that no excuses they need to hire someone that realy cares about their customers this realy give me bad taste of my mouth and possibly closing my account with them i am a consumer and im sure i have value to them i hope that thew will change
