Our grandson has attended FPD since he was 4 yrs old. The teachers have taught and challenged him. The Bible classes are wonderful and provide a great basis of Biblical knowledge. The music program is outstanding. The athletic programs are some of the best in the area. The scholastic curriculum is challenging and serves them throughout life. The fees are high, but inline with other schools in the area.

My two sons are the men they are today due to the influence of FPD teachers and coaches. They reinforced the Christian worldview and values taught at home and helped prepare them for college and life beyond. As an employee, I have seen how the faculty truly care about each of their students. They realize there is a "bigger picture" and work to positively impact students lives for eternity. We are so grateful for FPD!

As a faculty member at FPD, I've enjoyed the excellent Fine Arts program here. I always make random detours on the way back to my office just so I can stop by the bulletin boards in the high school that showcase the artwork of our students. We have some talented students here...but not just in the arena of visual art. Our theatre department is incredible. Every year, I look forward to our Spring productions (particularly the musical, which is coming up just around the corner!). I love how FPD demonstrates excellence both academically and artistically; it makes the school that much more well-rounded, and it makes working here all the better!

My son has been at FPD for 5 years, and we feel so blessed to be able to have him enrolled there. The quality and dedication of his teachers has been so touching. Not only do they instruct and challenge him with excellence, but I feel like they really know him, care about him, and pray for him. That means even more to me than his class work. Be prepared that the work is challenging, and parents DO need to be engaged to help with homework and projects sometimes, but I consider this a positive.
He has had so many opportunities at school, not only to be challenged academically, but also to enjoy fine arts, athletics, and field trips. In this day when budget cuts are forcing many schools to limit programming, I am so happy that my child still has access world-class educational tools, and I do not take that for granted. I can't wait for him to get his tablet notebook computer next year! What an opportunity and cutting-edge learning tool!
Most of all, however, I value the Christ-centered environment. To know that learning God's word is part of my child's educational curriculum is very important to our family. Not only does he memorize scripture, but they really study the Bible and learn how to apply what God says. We know that he is sitting beside children with parents who are of like-mind to ourselves, and who will grow to encourage him in the Lord. Some of the dads in our class even began a Bible Study just for the boys and their dads so they can grow in the word together. Those experiences and that environment are priceless.
I feel like this review is so positive that it might come off as contrived, so I have been trying to think of something negative to say. Seriously, I can't come up with anything of substance or that I feel is within the school's control. Sure, it gets on my nerves when parents mess up the traffic flow in carpool lane, but that hardly seems the school's problem. If I had to come up with something, I'd say that the uniform pants never fit my skinny child properly, but considering that I LOVE having uniforms, we just belt them and move on. My child even likes the lunchroom food!

First Presbyterian Day School is one of the best schools in Central Georgia. It's ran by an amazing team and the families that attend are wonderful. You can't go wrong!
