What a great surprise. Looking for some reasonably priced seafood, we ended up at FISH. The place is very cozy and easygoing. We kicked off with their crazy offer, six oysters, with a drink for $10. Everything we are was delicious, and most dishes are very well priced. Our favorite was the scallop ceviche, the crunchy baby calamari, and the shrimp cocktail. The service was correct and friendly. Definitely a great place to go when around Chelsea area!
First time I had oysters! Delicious, and everything was fresh. I also had the lobster mac & cheese, crab cake, scallops & spinach and tasted the Chilean sea bass. All very good! Servers were all great!
Always my no frills, go to place for great oysters that are always reasonably priced, not just at happy hour. The fried ipswich clams are also a must and the mussels in garlic sauce are another good choice. Just know, the place is small and can get busy, so be prepared to wait, especially in nice weather.
Cozy place with great service! The oysters and clams were fresh and seafood feast was not overly salty. They were also not cheap on the wine! This place doubles up on the amount of wine you normally get at other restaurants. We will definitely be back for the rest of the menu!
We tried a sampling of the menu and everything was extremely tasty. The red, white and blue special is one of the best deals in NYC. The calamari was tender and light the way Kalahari should be. But, the service and atmosphere was just as good as the food.
it’s a very old restaurant with strange smell. We went there in the afternoon, few guests were there, quit scary. Amazingly, oyster and lobster are delicious and the price is great there. We had been to some restaurant in New York for oyster and lobster. Some restaurant has nice decoration, but the food is not that good though. In conclusion, it’s the restaurant I will come again.
Bluepoint Oyster. Season Lobster. Good food great service wonderful experience. Save some room for the pizza joint next door to find out what the hype is all about 10+ ppl line up last time I was there
The service is great, but the food is even better. I found this place by accident one night over 10 years ago, and I've been visiting since then with my family. I tried the Chilean sea bass, which sat on a bed of sauteed spinach and accompanied with roasted cauliflower. The skin of the sea bass was seared to a perfect crisp and the fish portion met expectations for a filling meal. The combination was, for lack of a better word, sublime. One of my favorite appetizers to order is from the raw bar. I ordered a mixed sampler of clams and oysters, accompanied by a small cup of red wine vinegar with diced onions, cocktail sauce with shredded horseradish, and lemon slices. Tabasco sauce is on the table for those who like the flaming sensation. Mixed together and drizzled over the shell fish gives it a good kick that satisfies taste buds and left me craving for more. The chocolate mousse is fresh, delicious and rich. It takes about 7 minutes to get to the restaurant from the West 4th train station, making it convenient to find and get to. The restaurant is small and the seating is a little tight, but comfortable once you settle in and take in the ambiance. The service is great; the staff are welcoming and attentive. I recommend this place for seafood lovers.
One of the best seafood I've ever ate at a restaurant. Staff and waitress was very attentive and speedy in getting our orders to us. Recommend reserving before heading here as there can be a wait depending on the time of the day you go.
No frills seafood in a classic setting. Expect simple but well done seafood dishes. I loved the sea bass and the fisherman’s stew was an excellent dish for a great value!
