I've been an employee at F/C for quite some time. I'd rather not say how long or which property. Local management (Property manager and assistant manager) of the properties are generally very good and have concern for the residents and employees at each property. The issue is the upper level management. Their concern is cutting cost as much as possible, everything from building in the cheapest way possible while slapping on something esthetic (to cover up the numerous flaws) to understaffing and reducing employees ability to help residents. Jill and Carrie are two of the worst management leaders I have interacted with in my time with this company and others. The upper management has more concern with reports and finances to cheapen things than they do about properly taking care of resident, building, or employee concerns. I hope one day that the upper management gets their heads out of their own behinds and realize that being nasty, deceitful, and spiteful to employees and residents does not help maintain a positive working environment. I would not recommend working for this company on any level due to these issues and many others. With the multiple negative reviews on here I am sure one can realize that their (good ole boys and cliquey female) mentality creates a negative environment and I look forward to the day when I can take any other position under any other management system. A note to the owners; you both have been known to be good people and have been praised by those who have had a chance to interact with you, don't let your terrible upper management ruin things for you and if their management style is a by product of your leadership then I regret helping to build your brand/apartment empire on any level.

The lack of leadership, education, and training not only by the property manager and assistant property manager but also by the regional, namely A****A. They are all entwined in a VERY clicky group. If you do not fit into their group, forget about anything else. Not only do they LIE for each other they will LIE against you. Upper management and lower management smokes weed together ON PROPERTY while DRIVING a vehicle. Very unsafe for residents. Employees in this click engage with residents in inappropriate behaviors. So much in fact, that one upper management employee had to be switched out with another at a different property. They hire their personal family members and let them get away with anything and everything. The regional will push for her employees to win awards... not because they deserve them but because it makes her look good. Lame. Stay away from the Fort Wayne area properties.

The women above us made a noise complaint against us two days after we made a complaint about her dog that she didn’t even tell the apartment she had.Abby the manager knocked on our door threaten to evict us, when we never made any noise other than slamming a door that never latvhes. Never asked us our side of the story and gave us a lease violation and then asks us to sign a new lease! And let’s not forget our toilet didn’t work for 8 days because the pipes froze and they were unable to fix the problem because the apartments have no insulation in the walls! So they cut a hole in the wall so we had to use a blow dryer everyday to get our toilet to work! And if you deny that I still have the texts to prove it. Not only that but how embarrassing is it to knock on our door and say that when my significant other works from home and her boss on video chat hears the entire conversation she had with Abby and even comments that it was out of place and rude of her to even say that. Your website says your award winning? Can I ask for what? Because as I read all the reviews for your company and settlers run I don’t see anything award winning at all other than probably making money at our expense and treating us like garbage.

I had the pleasure of working with Tammy King. She gave me the best presentation ever from getting my information to showing the apartment. She was very knowledgeable of the community and its amenities! She was sweet and just answered and addressed every concern I had. You guys have a star working for you!!! Anyone looking for an apartment at the Riverwood location ask for Tammy King!
