Florida Career College - Lauderdale Lakes

I went to this school, paid my tuition off completely, graduated with a 4.0, and perfect attendance. Firstly the staff was terrible, only five teachers cared about students and I know one already quit because how terrible the administration is. The counselors do nothing to help, I had to literally manage everything on my own in order to complete extern in their MA program. The staff is constantly changing, one of them is high half the time, and the administration takes advantage and mistreats the only staff members that go out of their way for students. They took my money and basically shoved me off without any help. And after three months still have not produced a diploma. I recommend no one attend this school, it is a complete scam. I garentee that you will be disappointed, every student who I went their with has said the same thing and honestly it makes me upset because they pray on students good intentions, especially low income students such as myself. I know some students who completed the program and were dropped for being late on payments. I implore anyone who is thinking about going to this school to speak with any student there, literally any student before hand. Because every single one will say the same thing. It is a scam.

I requested my transcripts more than a month ago via their electronic request in order to apply to a school. They said that it would be 14 business days before the transcript would arrive. It has been 23 business days and the school has not received the transcript. I have been calling for over a week and having to leave messages. I have also left numerous e-mails, none of which have been returned. THIS IS MY FUTURE that they are playing with. I paid enough money to go through their joke of a program, I should be able to be able to get my transcripts sent. OR AT LEAST A RETURN CALL OR EMAIL.

Probably the worst college I’ve ever attended. The dean and the directors are VERY rude and degrading. This college is not recommended if you have a life outside of school because they don’t work around your schedule even with doctor notes. I have a medical condition (lupus) that prevents me from doing a lot of things and I have been admitted to plantation hospital a couple of times within a month with all my paper work but I am very determined to become something in life. I recently got into a car accident where I had to move out of my apartment and I’ve missed about 5 days and I have contacted my teachers and the dean about my situation. The dean called me into his office and he totally belittled me in front of the assistant dean. He was yelling at me saying “This School is not for you” “You disgust me” You’re stupid for leaving your school uniform in the uhaul truck” “You’re pissing me off, if it was up to me you would’ve been kicked out already “ I never cried so hard in my life because I believed that the employees that work for this college are suppose to encourage me and tell me I’m doing good. I’ve received all A’s on the material they test me on. I’ve came this far. This was my last module before graduation. I talked to another dean about the situation and my mom came with me. They didn’t address the way the director talked about me and they kicked me out the school because they didn’t like how my mom was telling them it’s not right how they treated me. I have no idea what to do!! Many students also went through the same treatment of unfair practices they exhibited but no one will speak up.
