Hands down, best Pilates studio in Brooklyn and probably NYC. Michelle P is always super friendly, checks in on our bodies, and very motivating. As someone with a physical disability, she’s extremely accommodating and provides modifications. The spaces in both Clinton hill and Bed Stuy are clean and open. Katherine at the front desk is super friendly and welcoming to all members. Diverse staff and members making it very open and comfortable. Can’t recommend enough
I have never done pilates before and chose Flow because it looks really nice but also professional. Since I joined everyone has been friendly and patient so I can learn at my pace. The professors I have worked with are amazing and I dare say I am now hooked on pilates, which is great as I have a shoulder tear and it also helps me strengthen and heal my injury.
I've been going to Flow for a year and a half and it's one of my favorite studios. Classes are fun as fun as pilates can be... and there is so much opportunity to learn new skills and truly open your mind and body to pilates. Instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and know how to give a good challenge. The new Clinton Hill studio is also beautiful! I recommend to anyone looking for a local studio.
I love the classes. The instructors have been helpful with form and provide different workouts which are great. How I wish it was bigger, literally 5 -6 places. Great while in class, yet sucks when you're trying to book ahead of schedule.
I love this studio. My spouse and I have been doing duet sessions with Cate virtually and the in-studio and she is definitely one of the best teachers we have ever trained with. She has a great awareness of the human form, is highly knowledgeable and keeps classes interesting.
If you are young with a perfect “yoga body” this “boutique”‘Pilates studio could be a good place for you to take classes. But if you have any injuries or physical limitations they are not set up to be supportive, understanding or accommodate you. I was very disappointed in the end including with how the owner handled things. On the upside, after leaving Flow I discovered Iyengar yoga which has been amazing — rigorous, supportive, and very body positive. So it’s all about finding the right place for you. Flow was definitely not the right place for me!!
Great studio! It has small classes and great teachers. My posture is better because of this place. My favorite place to do Pilates.
I cannot recommend this studio highly enough, particularly for those currently pre or postnatal. I attended pre/postnatal classes private and group throughout pregnancy up to 40 weeks, returning shortly after the birth of my son by c-section once cleared for exercise by my OB. The instructors are very experienced, friendly yet professional, and confident in providing a *challenging* work-out tailored carefully to the pre or postnatal body, which really sets this studio specifically the pre/postnatal class series apart from the crowd. Now 10 weeks post-partum, I almost have my pre-pregnancy figure back - which is testament to the bespoke attention I received at this studio throughout pregnancy and beyond in the care of instructors with a true understanding of pre and postnatal physiology.
I love Pilates, but this place is not ideal for a beginner. They don't cater to all, and the owner is curt/cold/unwelcoming . Spend your money elsewhere. #buyblack #gentrificationATitsWORST #FITin_IS_better
A wonderful studio. Great instructors in a clean and cute space. So nice to have it in the neighbourhood.
