I love this studio more than words can say, everything thing about it. The teachers give the best training in the area. The girls are very sweet and all very talented. Would never trade my experiences here for anything.

Im blown away that there are so many good ratings on here after our experience with this studio. But then again our experience unfortunately was based on 1 ballet instructor, Karen. Its a shame too because the other instructors were very good. I am a firm believer on discipline and constructive criticism but when you cross the line and badger my child that truly upsets me. My kid is used to discipline but Karen made her cry uncontrollably and had called her out twice in front of her other peers telling her that she will not advance into the other class is embarrassing to anyone. Kids in the class looking at my kid with there jaws dropped because they are in shock. That is low. Your here to do a job, not make a child cry. Is that your idea of breaking them??? Get a grip, this isnt Juilliard! I think maybe the instructors ego may have gotten a little too much for herself. But even upon confronting this instructor with the manager, nothing was done. Maybe you should back up your students first since they are the ones paying you, instead of the rude instructors you have. This way you go about it will only make you lose business.

We were happy with the teachers for our daughters, however all the other details surrounding class were disappointing. Let me give you context to be fair. We have a 4 and 5 year old and they just wanted to try out dance. I called 7 studios and one place had a DVD of recital and tickets and I thought, that's too much so I kept calling around. When I called focus I asked about any extra fees. Never was it mentioned about the $90 costume fee (for each) $50 recital fee (for each) for who knows what, money for tights, and then they put siblings in two different shows! So we were asking each family member to pay $30 (for two recital tickets) and to give up 6.5 hours (not exaggerating, each recital was 3hours 15 minutes) and we had to rush home from one to get my other daughter ready and back in time. And my 4 year old wasn't done until 9:15pm, her bedtime is 8pm. They also sent probably 100 emails during the 3 weeks prior to recital. It was a bit much! They also showed movies backstage that were not age appropriate. Too much! If your child is older and serious about dance this may be a great place. If you are looking to try out ballet with young kids, this was a bit excessive and expensive.

My daughter has been dancing since she was 2 and she is now 10. This is our second year at Focus and will be our home until she graduates. She has grown so much in dance since our move to Focus. The teachers are amazing and give quality instruction. They really focus on technique instead of just learning steps. They take the time to ensure the student does it correctly and won't move on until it's right or make other recommendations to fix the issue if there is one. My daughters confidence has improved so much since she started dancing at Focus and continues to get better each day. These teachers bring out strengths in each dancers that may not even be recognized by anyone else. I highly recommend this studio to anyone looking for a great all around studio!

After trying several studios we were so thrilled to find Focus Performing Arts Studio. It became our home studio for many years. We were looking for a studio that truly taught "technique". They provide the core training necessary for a dancer to expand her talent. The owner is actively involved in the studio. She gets to know each dancer and their individual talent. This studio has won several awards in choreography . It is loaded with talented dancer to learn from. I would say Focus is a great TRAINING ground for your little dancer.
