The Osceola County School for the Arts

I'm going on my third year in the vocal department and I love it. Certain students do bring down the mood though, saying how the school is terrible or how it doesn't give the normal high school or middle school experience. Now I will admit the school has some flaws in other people's eyes, but I don't like the people who talk about the experience. It's an art school it's not gonna give you a normal high/ middle school experience cause it's not a normal school. I came from a terrible school before I went to ocsa so ocsa seems like heaven to me, but that's just my opinion. If you are considering to audition I highly recommend it, but if you are going to be like one of the kids who want a normal high/middle school experience then don't bother cause in the year you're here it's gonna be absolute hell. Alright that is all I have to say if you read this thank you and if you disagree with anything I said then so be it I just wanted to get my opinion out there. I wish you a good day or a good night.

This school is amazing and highly suggest auditioning if you are interested in art forms. This school also has a great academic program and will learn everything you need!

Okay so hey if you know me like what’s up 🤙 but if not ... to the kid who said he/she auditioned for art or whatever and said “they didn’t even look at my portfolio” that’s a whole lie honey and you can exit with that . Good you didn’t get into this school cause 1. Wasn’t meant to be and 2. You just making up stuff just to cover up the fact you didn’t get in. Do not try to ruin our reputation by making sorry lame excuses as to why you didn’t get in . Oh and don’t get me started when people have the audacity to criticize how our school is ran. This is a high class school and that’s one of the things I think everyone knows when auditioning to this school we don’t play here . So when we got people saying ohhh they worry more about academics in all honesty it all ties in with each other cause let’s be honest if you let a a child with straight F’s go to Ellington how does that look on the school ?? Not good 🤷‍♀️ But ima be frank with some of y’all I do feel as if some of the teachers do need to calm down with so much homework . Like I go to church and practice plus other teachers homework . I do understand they’re trying to better our education but man anytime to myself maybe ?? And another issue I feel a lot of us haven’t really addressed is the fact band gets a lot of the spotlight . Lately they’ve been doing decent at showing some light towards dance and art majors more but it’s never going to be as much as us and if/ when that day comes I will applaud you Ocsa . I remember the good old days of Ocsa too the school has definitely changed and I don’t if it’s for better or worse .

I love this school so much. Everyone is like a family to me. I was in orchestra for 3 years and I'm planning on going back for high school.

Our family is very appreciative to be part of the OCSA family. It's a supportive and nurturing environment that is run by a caring and competent staff.
