Fong's Pizza

Had a great evening! Saw the name of the place and thought it was worth a try. So glad we did. We had the Crab Rangoon Pizza and the Thai Chicken Pizza. The crust was fantastic. Thin but not like a cracker, with just enough chew. The toppings were generous on both pizzas.The only downside we we asked for no cilantro on the Thai Chicken Pizza and it came with PLENTY on it, and our drinks could have been refilled more often. Cost was reasonable, Derek was a very friendly waiter, and the atmosphere was fantastic. Would definitely recommend you give this place a try. They do have the more common pizza options if you’re looking for that, but I suggest going with one of their specialties instead.

This is a great pizza place. The food was awesome and service was really good. We had a big party and they got us in and feed quickly. We only had one problem one of the pizza of the day was very spicy. If we had known we would have gotten something else

I come to Des Moines for overnights, but I've never tried Fong's Pizza. I finally tried it. I kind of liked my pizza, but I'll try a more popular one next time. I was there a few days ago, and got a pizza to go. This day I was in the mood for a pulled pork BBQ Pizza. I asked for the BBQ sauce on top, and they did make it pretty!. The cheese was good, the crust was "ok", there was very little meat on it. Only a core of bites per slice. It also seemed pretty expensive for this thin crust 10" Pizza $16.00 . So I will try a different pizza next time.

Place came highly recommended by my hotel. After reading the reviews, of course had to try the Crab Rangoon pizza - it was everything they raved about! Service was great, drinks were served with a helmet - this is my kind of place.

Solid pizza. I’ve dined in many times and recently got it to go. We had the crab Rangoon pizza. The mix of favors is so unique for a pizza - really enjoyed it. The pizza eggs rolls are are very flavorful

The General Tso’s Chicken Pizza is awesome! They have several local brews on tap. Chinese pizza sounds weird, but it is amazing. Great thin crust too.

Killer little pizza joint in downtown Des Moines. People come for the Crab Rangoon pie, but the others are so good too. Check out the Southsider and sub out the olive oil for Alfredo sauce. Absolute fire. Good beer selection and great service, best pizza place in Iowa.

I was in town for only 24 hours and someone told me to go to Fong‘s pizza. I am so glad they did and that they recommended it because this is one of the most different pizza experiences that I have ever had! It’s Asian infused pizza, plus their cocktails are Tiki style. So it’s like a two in one win! The Decor is really cool as well. It’s half Asian and half tiki vibe. I loved it and I have never seen anything like that! Our bartender/waitress was amazing! Not only did she have great customer service, but she was super funny and really entertaining as well! We ordered the crab Rangoon pizza, and some other pizza that I can’t remember. Also, the tiki cocktail that comes in the kitty and the one in the peacock and both were super delicious! We also ordered another cocktail that we didn’t realize was a shot and when they give it to you they give you a helmet to wear while you do the shot. I thought that was so unique and so funny! I definitely want to come back here! This place is a must if you are ever in Des Moines, Iowa!

Funky and unique joint. Tiki drinks were a bit sweet, but boozy photogenic. Pizza rolls were amazing. Pizza itself is thinner crust with lots of fun options.

Ordered 3 pizzas to share. Definitely executed well. The pizzas are definitely for the younger college clientele. The pizzas are salty for my taste and included a bunch of ingredients. However, again, well executed.
