RE: Foothill Dental – Dr. David Stohl, DMD On January 21, 2020 I had an exam by Dr. David Stohl who is one of the owners and a partner in crime at Foothill Dental in Salt Lake City. I was shown an x-ray with a very large cavity and was then given an estimate to repair of $836.00 for a Crown-porcelain/ceramic substr and a Crown buildup. I was suspicious of the dentist as well as the entire office staff, for a number of reasons – one of which was an extremely aggressive office manager who was high pressuring me to make an appointment to have the work done. I was also given an estimate of $11,437.55 for porcelain crowns for all my teeth to make them appear white and perfect which I didn’t request, but I did have a couple of chips that didn’t concern me. Subsequently after receiving this estimate, I had a second opinion by a very reputable dentist in Park City with whom I’ve been seeing for some time previous to trying Foothill Dental because it was closer to my office. Fortunately for me, my dentist from Park City Dental Spa, could find absolutely nothing wrong with any of my teeth and he recommended to do nothing. I would run, not walk, away from either of the two dentists at Foothill Dental. I would recommend any other dentist in Salt Lake City rather than Foothill Dental.

I have been a patient at Foothill Dental for many years, I recently moved out of state and needed to have a couple crowns done, I decided it's worth still going to Foothill Dental! I was able to get in and have 2 crowns done the same day! Dr. David Stohl and Renita took great care of me, I was even able to watch Netflix! Dr David is great at explaining what needs to be done as well answering all my questions! I highly recommend Foothill Dental for any of your dental needs, you won't be disappointed! Thanks again Foothill Dental for taking care of me all these years! See you in a few months for a cleaning!

Foothill Dental is fantastic! The office has a warm and caring environment and the dental care is terrific. Rafael went the extra mile to make things happen for us before we were part of the practice and did even more throughout the course of the treatment plan. Dr. Bailey and her team were talented, thoughtful and incredibly kind. It made all the difference.

I called today and the receptionist hung up on me. This business is overpriced and they are extremely rude. The time before I scheduled an appointment and they didn’t even have me on the schedule. Fast forward to 3 days later, they get me in for an hour after my appointment time. The company threatens to charge you if you don’t cancelled 2days in advance but your time means nothing to them. When they finally got me in they couldn’t even do the root canal. The doctor had left for the day and they didn’t realize that is what my appointment was for. They sent me to a different office that I drove all the way there and the same story happened. This business doesn’t respect their patients. Only their pocketbook.

My experience at Foothill Dental was superb! The waiting room was clean and pleasant and the chairs were so comfortable. The receptionists were so friendly and helpful as I was filling out paperwork. I was there for a simple cleaning and examination. They offer complimentary spa treatments with the cleaning which makes me so excited to go back in six months for my next cleaning, knowing that's a part of the deal. They also have a ton of flavors to choose from for the polishing that's really important to me. My last dentist used exclusively cinnamon and I hated, hated, hated it. Tabitha conducted the cleaning and was very friendly and professional. She gave me a few pointers on things I can do better and was complimentary on things that I was doing well with my teeth and gums. Dr. Matt was also very friendly and very attentive. I'll definitely be back.

I recently moved back to SLC and visited another dentist that was not good. I went to Foothill Dental and it was an great experience. Everyone was friendly and welcoming, they offer extras like paraffin hand treatments and warm neck wraps which make the visit so much better. They even took x-rays at no charge because the other dentist took some but not the ones they needed and knew that my insurance wasn't likely to pay for them. Very professional and I felt very taken care of!! Sam was awesome and made my teeth feel great after my cleaning. I highly recommend!! I'll be returning only to this office from now on!

We love Foothill Dental! We’ve always received high level dental care from all the hygienists and dentists. Beyond that—they are the most friendly, caring, and fun office. The staff is amazing and works so hard to accommodate my 7 children I bring in. They are so understanding and work so well with all of us. I’m a patient as well and love going in. I can’t recommend them highly enough! They also are very organized and give very accurate quotes for dental work before it is done. They are the best!

Over the past few years, I have become a very anxious patient, and I have ALWAYS hated needles, so I was having serious anxiety about having an implant put in! Everything about Foothill Dental made me feel at ease! From setting up my appointment, to the easy to find location, to the office itself which is gorgeous, spotless, and comfortable, the staff made me feel relaxed. When I was going to the treatment room, Rachel, my Dental Assistant was kind, interested in my concerns, and really made me feel ‘heard’. It was refreshing, and made me even MORE relaxed! Then I met the Dentist, Dr. Stohl- and had my consultation; I knew that I would never go to any other dental office again! They got me in the very next day. I didn’t feel any pain- even when they gave me the injections. When my treatment was over, they gave me a thoughtful little gift basket with special things to make me comfortable while I am healing. That was yesterday- and it all worked; because I feel great today! I can’t WAIT for my cleaning appointment, so I can choose something from their spa menu. Yes, they have a menu of spa treatments that you can get with your cleaning! If you are looking for a beautiful office, with smart, skilled, and genuinely caring staff- look no further; FOOTHILL DENTAL IS THE PLACE!

Best dental experience that I have ever had. Samantha was my hygienist and made me feel comfortable and relaxed. She was very knowledgeable and helped guide and direct me on good care options for home. She is caring and compassionate and helped with issues or teeth straightening, whitening, and overall dental care. I can say that I actually enjoyed being at the dentist office. I can't offer any higher praise!

I just love this office! We have been patients for 5 years and are still coming back, even after moving 40 minutes away! Dr. David, Dr. Matt and Dr. Lewis are all fantastic at what they do and I wouldn’t trust the health of my teeth to anyone else. Foothill Dental has an amazing staff from the assistants being great at putting your mind at ease during a procedure, to the hygienist’s being thorough and gentle during your cleaning and the front desk handling our insurance needs appropriately. Great office, with up to date technology! Highly recommend!
