Jen was my stylist for a much needed cut and treatment. Not only did she leave my hair looking super chic, but she was happy to chat through blow drying techniques and guide me through tips on at home styling. Jen is super knowledgeable and has tremendous experience.

I’ve been to Val twice now and she does fantastic work at a fair price. My blonde highlights were super consistent and just what I was looking for each time. She is lovely, and I’m glad to have found someone I trust to do my hair for the future!

I’ve been a client at Fox and Jane East Village for almost 4 years. Always such a great experience. Tran is amazing, So friendly and attentive. I couldn’t recommend her enough. F&J and all the stylists should be commended for the lengths they went to make a safe and comfortable salon during the pandemic.

UPDATE 8/28/19: Just had my 2nd appointment with Helen and it was definitely worth the wait! We went a little lighter and warmer with my hair this time to achieve the natural honey/sunkissed look I wanted. Helen also gave me a hair protein mask treatment that made my hair feel healthier and silkier. Fox and Jane is definitely a gem to the East Village! --------- I don't normally write reviews, but I couldn't resist after finding Helen at Fox and Jane! I'm very picky with my hair, but Helen exceeded all my expectations. She not only saved my damaged hair, but she color corrected my hair and did a beautiful job on blending all the colors together. She took the time to understand what I wanted and thoroughly explained how she was going to improve my hair's condition. You can't find anyone else more REAL & HONEST than Helen. I can go on and on about how satisfied I am with my hair, but I'll let the pictures do the talking! :

This was my first time at a Fox and Jane salon, and after reading many great reviews about Helen, I decided to go with her for my haircut. I had an idea of how I wanted my hair to look I wanted bangs. Helen was very honest with me and advised that I try the look without bangs because my hair wouldn't hold them too well. I went with her advice, and I love my haircut! She was so meticulous and made sure I was happy with the results before I left the salon. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for new color or cut!

I never review but I am disappointed by the East Village location. I’ve been multiple times to get my hair done since I had heard so many great things about the salon and their stylists in the past. When I started going in 2019, the stylist always booked me into my next appointment so I was continuously locked in I’m not sure if other stylists do this Which is fine, but it’s really pricey for middle-ground work. I was never blown away. Then, in early 2022 I believe, I went back to try and get my hair done and there was a break-in. A man came in holding a knife, asking for money and looted the register. The stylists were rattled but when he finally exited with their stuff, they laughed — there wasn’t an owner in sight or a phone call to them. It was only the stylists in the salon and they went right back to their clients. I was shaking in the back of the salon where I ran and looked around for exit doors in the back I didn’t see any, I wasn’t pointed to any. I was really frightened. They shook it off and I left without getting my hair done, telling them to cancel my appointment. I still think about it. I’m no Karen, but the lack of care for their clientele felt uncomfortable. I won’t be going back here.

Helen is an absolute pro and worth the wait! She did a beautiful job on my highlights, and I left the salon with the hair of my dreams! Not only is Helen very talented and professional, she is also caring and attentive - she really wants to understand what YOU want and takes time to learn and explain her process. She was very upfront about the cost, time and expense of maintenance, and how to care for my beautiful highlights. Thank you, Helen!

Thank you Helen for yet again, another phenomenal highlight. Helen hits the mark not only in final product as you can see below but also in professionalism and genuine care for her customers. She checked my comfort levels during the service, offered coffee, asked after my service if I liked my tone even when I went home. We discussed the long term care plan to maintain my hair quality which as a bottle blonde I greatly appreciated. She is very transparent with pricing and doesn’t push you to buy products if you don’t want them. Worth the wait to get quality hair care.
