Great place! Would definitely recommend! I drove from VA , was greeted with great service n staff. The shrimp pizza was my favorite. Bathrooms clean, whole establishment clean. A different style pizza, but worth it. All pizzas are large, we had to take home our leftovers and noticed that just about everyone was doing d same thing. We had d sangria, n was left with awe how they mastered the taste. Be sure to order that too
The best pizza we have ever had!! As you can see the photo below I couldn’t wait to dig in and this review only got half of the pie lol. The server Deborah was super nice and attentive. We waited about 30 minutes to be seated, as this place does get busy and just know it is worth the wait. The brick oven style pizza is so flavorful it literally melts in your mouth. We were served our appetizers and a short time later the Manager De’Vae came over to apologize for the delay in getting our pizza. He openly admitted that our tickets got mixed up and our pizzas would be out shortly. As a favor he comped one of the pizzas to make things right. To be super honest we didn’t think that the wait from appetizer to pizza was that long but to have a manager of an establishment openly admit that a mistake was made and rectify it immediately shows integrity and admiration for this pizza restaurant. Kudos to De’Vae for being a good leader. If you are looking for amazing brick oven Pizza- Pepe’s is the place to go! We will definitely be back soon. We cannot wait for your Stamford location to open and hope that the service and quality of pizza is just as good.
It’s about 10-15 minute walk from the Fairfield Metro, Metro north train station. Same menu as the other Frank Pepe locations. Had a small clam pie that was really good, ate the whole thing myself but it’s enough for 2 people. Got a table as soon as I walked in around 1 pm, But within a 1/2 hour all the tables were full. Staff were great. Will stop here again.
Pepe’s Pizza is “required reading” for serious pizza lovers. I consider the NY/NJ metro area the Center of the Pizza Universe. But, if a Zombie Apocalypse hits, I will head to one of two places - Trenton, NJ or New Haven, CT - depending on traffic, of course!!! Pepe’s invariably comes in at or near the top in almost every national pizza poll I have seen. Hard to go wrong here. I grabbed a fresh clam and an original tomato pie with mozzarella yesterday. See the photos. Kid-friendliness: Bring the kids!
While Frank Pepe Pizzeria in New Haven doesn't sell pizza by the slice, it's a fantastic option for a delicious sit-down pizza experience, especially for couples. They offer spacious booths and friendly service, making it a great place for conversation and enjoying a leisurely meal. Their coal-fired pizzas are known for their thin crust and fresh ingredients. You can't go wrong with the classic doppio pepperoni, or try something different like their white pizza with clams.
This was my first time dinning in but I have been visiting this location for takeout for years. It is very convenient to get to off 95 north or south. Frank Pepe’s never disappoints but the pizza isn’t always cooked as much as we would like. Despite the char the middle can still be doughy. I find this especially on the margarita and white clam pies do to the extra soupy nature if those particular styles. I love a good white clam Pepe’s pie. It is one of my favorites. This visit we decided to get a salad with side of anchovies. Salad was good but could have used some more dressing but adding parmigiana helped. The anchovies were a good addition. The Pepperoni and Hot Cherry pepper pie was great. We love the way the Pepe’s crisps the meat toppings on their pizzas. Yum The atmosphere was a bit cramped and busy but waitress service was very good. All in all I think the OG New Haven location may be best when it comes to consistency. But Pepe’s pizza remains among my favorites anywhere.
I heard that I needed to try Frank Pepe’s pizza. Stopped into the Fairfield location and the people were super friendly and service was top notch. Had the Margarita Pizza and it did not disappoint! Would recommend giving them a try if you are in the area.Food: 5/5
Frank Pepe's is a pizza place I keep going back to on my journey to find the best pizza around. So far it hasn't been beat.Food: 5/5
I got the clam. The good thing is a large is huge - it would probably feed 4 easily. Salad was nice but had a bit too much dressing. Pizza was too salty. My husband got the vegetarian and it was OK once doused in garlic powder and parmesan. The crust on this pizza was also unfortunately a bit thick for this style of pizza. The crust is nicely charred, but not quite as chewy as I'm used to for Italian pizza in UK or Italy. The good thing is that the pizza leftovers were pretty nice.
New Haven is known for its pizza and Frank Pepe’s is one of the best in my opinion. Crust and dough are always cooked perfectly—never undercooked. Ingredients are always fresh and the mozzarella tastes like it is straight from Italy. The best thing about this location is the location. Plenty of parking and no need to wait in line to get in like you have to at the New Haven restaurant. Staff is extremely friendly and the host is awesome.
