This place gets it!! Lots of Specials and great happy hour deals AND THE FOOD & DRINKS ARE SUPER TASTY...love that they give some good bread strips to start So to drink I got the blue ocean lemonade and then we had the calamari not pictured and the special of small plate of gnocchi in a cream sauce with mushrooms YUUUUUMMMMM!!!! Then we shared “The Alfredo” pizza Alfredo sauce chicken bacon and truffle oil soooooo good!!!
First time at Strada. Came on a Sunday, with nobody here so they should have been able to shine. Brussels sprout appetizer was undercooked. My pasta was undercooked as well. My wife’s prosciutto and fig pizza was very salty. My daughter enjoyed her burrata pizza. Not impressed won’t be returning.
Virtually no parking. As I pulled up to let my wife off in front of the place, a couple came out of the restaurant and got in their car right next to me. The guy spent close to 5 minutes looking at his phone with the car running oblivious. We had a reservation for 2, but the only inviting place to sit available was at the bar. The Strada craft were pretty good, but cost 3.50 each. My wife sole piccata was pretty good but the Julianne vegetables were loaded with garlic. My tuna was not the best quality and overcooked and thus tough to chew. The bar staff were friendly, but forgot to thank us for a $28 tip on a $148 bill. I don't plan to ever eat at the place again.
Updated: Now Strada Craft Pizza - best Craft Pizza around. Great and friendly service. Great service and great food! I had the special last night salmon with pesto and it was delicious. Love this place... Been here a number of times since it opened a few months ago.
I thought the food was great. Very creative dishes, that is a hard category to stand out in in Fairfield County. We had shrimp with white beans, great. Short ribs on risotto excellent! If I could give one suggestion it would be to close off the dining room from the bar a bit more. The bar was crowded and very loud when we went, hard to talk.
First of all, when a customer wants to order a "lunch" size salad for dinner because she wants to order some small plates to share...it's not so brilliant when your waiter tells you, "Actually, the lunch and dinner salads are the same size." ...just a different price? I looked at my friend and said, "It must be lunch time somewhere in this world." It was my first time there and it made me want to think of going elsewhere for dinner and come back another day for lunch, especially because I have heard mixed reviews. The food and the attentiveness of the servers were great however, I didn't find anything on their menu to stand out as unique. This would never be a go-to spot for me, but it does have a local following.
Love this place! Somewhat of an unknown new gem in Fairfield. We love to sit at the bar, order a couple of maritinis and enjoy some of the many delicious appetizers. Main courses and pastas are equally good. Atmosphere is fantastic, both regular seating and bar seating offer great options. About one hundred million times better than molto, if you're looking for comparison.
A really fine replacement for the stalwart Apizza Center. The appetizers are a meal, "small plates" if you're into that. The arugula pizza is a culinary cluster-mess, however; rather difficult to eat, as a heap of prosciutto "resting" upon a wad of arugula. Great, friendly service.
This is my favorite restaurant in all of New England. The food is always delicious and always find myself going back to this restaurant. The staff are beyond pleasant. There needs to be more places like this in Fairfield county. Amazing!!!
Such a lovely place. Very intimate and enjoyable. The food was delicious and my husband and I will definitely be returning very soon. Julie at the bar is wonderful!
