Love Free people! My closet is lined with their clothing. However the clerks in this store are really rude. One cashier yesterday was pleasant. But another one came to help me with my returns and she was rude, abrupt and short. If you dont like your job get one that is more suited for you
One of the BEST experiences I've had shopping at a Free People store location!!! Jenny, Kristina, Allison were absolutely fabulous!!!! They were so pleasant, engaging, accommodating and professional!!!! This was my 2nd time shopping at a store location in NY and they made me feel very welcomed. I was able to return some online purchases and buy some great new items in store as well! The other store Associates were also great! I was warmly greeted at door and immediately offered assistance. Each section I visited, had a personable Associate willing and ready to help. The selections were also awesome and much better than the other NY locations I'vevisited. Great shoe section as well! I was able to buy a cute pair of yellow mules. I would definitely recommend shopping at this location!!!!
Everyone here was helpful & they happily went in the back to find what I was seeking. Sadie was just delightful.
Lots of options, but I would love more consistent customer service. I went to try on some clothes in the fitting room and the associate acted like I was bothering her. While I was trying on things, I heard her giving other people great service, asking their name, and telling them her name. I don't know why I was treated differently, but I decided not to purchase anything after receiving this type of service.
I love Free People clothing..Love the styles, fabrics, colors and unique designs..
I love this store and the staff is usually nice. But I went in for a holiday sale with my young daughter and I told a tall dark haired woman checking me out I didn’t want one of the things I brought up to the register because it was priced higher than expected and she was super rude after that. She didn’t treat me the way she was treating the other customers before me. It felt like some kind of strange profiling and I’m totally not into it, I can go shopping elsewhere.
Not only does the store have so many beautiful clothing options but the people who work here are extremely cool. Giselle in particular it’s definitely a warm and welcoming person, super helpful and cool! Thanks so much! ~papaya sun ~
My experiences at this store was not pleasant to say the least. The first time I visited here none of the customer associates said anything to me, no hello,. It wasn't until I asked for help that I grabbed someone's attention. They were busy chatting it up on non-work related things, I know this because It bothered me as a business professional that they would be getting paid to not help customers, mind you I wasn't the only person who was in the store. Just recently I was in the store and this incident this time around is what encouraged me to write this review. I was looking to exchange a dress for a smaller size for a gift I had purchased for a friend. I walked in and started looking for another dress that may fit her not 1 minute into the store the sales associate instantly asked for the bag their free people bag to put behind the register so that I can exchange / return when I was ready. I was really insulted that she would take my return bag to put behind the register as she wouldn't take no it's okay for an answer she was persistent. I felt that she would think I would steal something. the only thing I had on me was the return bag and my phone, I did not have a purse or anything else on me. The receipt and item were still wrapped in the tissue paper in the bag. This was beyond rude and I felt discriminated. I told someone at work about this incident and they said they had a bad experience at the same store as well where no one wanted to help her. I said do you think they were profiling you. She said absolutely because other people were in the store and they received help and a hello. Free people sells clothes that are on the expensive side so I would think their customer service and friendliness would be astounding. I was wrong, through my experiences with this store, their overall unjust attitude I would no longer be purchasing their items.
Love this location. They are well stocked and pretty much updated most of the time I visit. Staffs are very attentive and helpful.
Agree with previous review, customer service is inconsistent and I feel very uncomfortable interacting with the associate working in the fitting room. Will not want to come back
