One of my favorite coffee shops in Portland Oregon. Great coffee and friendly staff. This place to super close to work so it is very quick to get a coffee when I go on break.
Stumbled in to this cafe shortly before closing. The flavor of the coffee was super and I really liked the aesthetic of the shop. I'd like to come back and try some trata and use the space when I have the need. Great little coffee shop.Dine in: YesTakeout: Yes
Great local coffee shop! We love their vanilla lattes and often split a jalapeño bagel as a easy breakfast. Best part is that they are dog friendly so our can come along!
My soy vanilla latte and basil berry Danish was delicious. Super cute coffee shop. The atmosphere was chill and they had tables outside to sip your cup of Joe. They sell hoodies and tees with their shark logo.
My oatmilk latte was divine! It was the first coffee beverage I've had out in decades that was worth leaving my house for! I love that there was a decent assortment of GF treats to choose from. I went with gf raspberry coffee cake yum and tasted my friend's gd tahini tangerine one he loved it, I thought it tasted doughy/yuck. There was also a great selection of dairy alternatives to choose from - decadent. Oat can be the creamier one but they also had hemp which is also quite yum imo. Out of ALL the cafes in the Mississippi/Albina/Killingworth area - this one has been here the longest like back before there was anything much else but Mississippi Pizza, empty retail spaces, the lamp lady, drug dealing/using and drive-bys and I like the space of The Fresh Pot itself A LOT! I seem to remember the wood floors being more ancient and almost sloping. I wanted to connect with the history/warmth of those floors when I decided to seek this place out on a Saturday afternoon in January. I enjoyed sitting at the bar. The Cafe tables all taken were pressed against the far wall within inches of each other. We guessed it was to keep the public as far from the person working as possible? The front door was open and it was comfortable temperature inside. I'm assuming this arrangement is covid-based. 5 stars for me would require more plants, large paintings, more tables, less crammed - maybe a record player? I loved the vintage plates and classic Cafe cups for drinking on site.
I've been coming here for nearly 20 years and it's every bit as good as it was when I started. Quite simply the best coffee in Portland.Food: 5/5
Nice space, great for getting a l'il remote work done. Pet-friendly. Chill, non-vibey service. The oat milk matcha cortado was absolutely satisfactory.
Neighborhood staple café with really good coffee and lots of nice places to sit and read. Great art and decor, not to mention it's in a building that was once a pharmacy complete with relics of the old times. Whenever I'm in the Mississippi neighborhood I swing through here for a latte– always get fast and friendly service.
Good enough coffee, but expensive. Not sure I want to pay $6 before tip for a simple drink 16 Oz cup with ice, milk, espresso, vanilla. If it's iced for the same price, shift the cup size up one so I'm not paying for half a cup of ice. If it's something that requires barista skill and/or extra time good milk foam, presentation, straight espresso, americano that's a different story.
The Fresh Pot is our favorite coffee shop in NoPo and maybe even the entire city. The baristas are welcoming, the drinks are great almond milk latte is my go-to and they encourage pups inside, as well. Bonus points for having long hours!
