I chose Fringe because of their reputation for being open and welcoming to all kinds of people, and I hoped they would work within the limits some health-related challenges I've been facing. And boy am I glad I did! I brought Erin a laundry list of needs--I wanted a cute haircut, but it needs to be able to be washed in the sink easily, and not get matted if I am staying in a hospital bed for a few days. I wanted something that would still look good if I lose some hair because of cancer treatments, and would be easy to style on low-energy days. Erin didn't blink. He listened really carefully to what I needed, gave me a thorough consultation, shared some pics for inspiration and got to work. I love my new haircut, and it ticks every one of my boxes and meets my peculiar needs. It's not just that the cut is awesome though it sure is, but that Erin really took the time to understand where I was coming from and what was important to me. I'll be back for sure, and I would recommend Fringe to anyone.Service: Haircut

I got my hair dyed for the first time ever here and the service was wonderful and the atmosphere was really welcoming. I was really nervous since I had never done anything like this to my hair but Victoria did a phenomenal job and also walked me through what to expect at every step of the way! She was very meticulous and also made sure to ask me what my expectations were and also was very thorough with her answers to my questions which were about hair care and more!. The salon offered complimentary snacks and beverages throughout, which was a nice perk. Also, the hairstylists were bantering, so I could feel they really like one another the conversations had me cackling; it was great. I reeeeally wanted to love this place, but I should have noticed that although they have a very fabulous diverse team, their clients typically are not and my very thick and full hair was totally butchered. Twice. I let my hair grow down to my hips and just wanted to have a midback cut with layers. No thinning no nothing bc I have naturally wavy hair. Not only did they cut it shorter than I wanted by about 3-4", they thinned it out majorly. The first cut was lopsided and had cliffs. I went back to have it "fixed" and it got butchered even more second picture. Not only that, the bottom has a different cut style than the top layers so now my hair is just wierd and my natural curl pattern is ruined so I have to keep my hair straightener on standby 24/7. I told them I am a stylist and constantly work with celebrities so this cut is really important for my image, but now I'm just subject to high buns . I'm going to have to let it grow out for another couple years before I can get the blunt cut I requested to have the second visit. So again, fabulous place for thinner, non textured hair but everyone else please stay away

I am new to the area and Fringe was recommended by a friend for a curly haircut. I saw Lauren, who was attentive, friendly, and skilled. She understood what I needed for my hair and made me feel comfortable in a new salon. Fringe is definitely a vibe - very loud, friendly staff that make you feel like you've been coming for years; Paramore playing on the sound system; Walls and mirrors covered with art and pieces of flare - but this is completely my style. First time at Fringe. Cameron was great! I also really appreciate that he took the time out to show me how to style my new curtain bangs. Not to mention, compared to my previous experiences at another salon this is the first time I've left a salon and felt like the stylist did a good job at making my hair look immediately great instead of me going home to style it myself.

Each haircut I get at Fringe is the literally the best one ever. Laura is an absolute hair wizard with an expert eye and relentless dedication to her craft. She will take the time to go over your ideas and intuitively give you the coolest, most flattering execution of that haircut. I am shy/anxious but the atmosphere at Fringe is extremely chill and welcoming. The online booking process allows you to customize the flow of your appointment/upload a photo of the cut you'd like, which I find very helpful. Overall I cannot recommend them enough and always look forward to my appointment. P.S. For reference I have very wavy hair with a bang cowlick or two and Laura has been my go-to stylist since at least 2017!Services: Haircut

It has taken me a while to write this but after finally getting my hair fixed and talking with professional stylists I felt the need to warn others. If you have thick or long hair this is probably not the place to go and get your hair colored. A few months ago I came here to get my hair colored for the first time. I have naturally dark long hair and wanted to have my hair colored a dark ginger. As someone who has never had their hair colored before I didn’t know what to expect but I made sure to call ahead of time to explain what I wanted done to ensure I booked the correct appointment. I also shared photos with my stylist to show her the color I was hoping for. Without telling me, the stylist began to bleach some parts of my hair which still doesn’t make any sense to me considering I wanted a solid and consistent color all throughout my hair. She then began just applying straight color to the rest and had another woman take over with coloring my hair while she went to finish up on another client. Once the stylist finished washing, blow drying, and straightening my hair I was really able to see just how poorly the color was dispersed in my hair. The color was completely uneven and no where near what I had asked for. I even asked the stylist about the unevenness of the color but she insisted it was even. Truthfully I went home and cried because of how horrible my hair looked. I decided to email the salon asking to come in to get my hair fixed which they agreed to do. In my email I specifically asked to have my hair either dyed back to my natural color or to have them dye my hair closer to what I originally asked for. In their response they simply said they would “fix it” and did not explicitly state how. When I came back in I spoke with the stylist stating my concerns and asking to have my hair recolored completely like I did in the email I sent them she then called over the owner Laura I believe who was immediately defensive after hearing I wanted my hair completely recolored. She insisted that they had given me the color I’d asked for and the only issue she could see was that the roots were a little bright. She stated that if I wanted my hair recolored I’d have to book and pay for another appointment because it would require too much of their time considering how much hair I have. While I understand that the stylist’s time is value so is the time of your customers. I personally live an hour away from the salon and work full time. I spent nearly my entire day and almost $400 getting my hair colored by them. If they were unable to take the time to properly color my hair they should’ve said that before booking my appointment . I later went to another salon to actually get my hair fixed and the stylist stated that the coloring job I received at Fringe looked totally unprofessional and uneven. Thankfully my new stylist was able to explain to my how one would properly color thick or long hair and gave me the color I was originally hoping for completely free of charge. It is clear based on my experience and some others that I’ve read about, that the owner at Fringe struggles to take accountability. It is also clear that when met with criticism she often responds in a rude and condescending manner. While it’s okay for stylists to make mistakes and for coloring jobs to not always turn out perfectly it’s not okay for the Managment to attempt to gaslight their customers. It’s simply unprofessional and shows a lack of customer service. I hope that the owner begins to take the criticism her salon receives to learn and grow from it all and hopefully better handle situations like mine going forward.Service: Hair coloring

Went here as my first haircut in years and everyone was so nice. I booked with Laura and told her to do whatever she thought would look best and she did great! She did great at cutting my curly hair!
