Fritz's Railroad Restaurant

So glad this location is still up and running. I remember going as a child and excited to take my own kiddos to experience delicious hamburgers and onion rings. Such a great experience watching the train bring our food! Clean and comfortable seating.

First time going there with my family and thought it was so awesome and cool how the train brings your food but also to order you food there's a phone right by you to make your order!. Great place for burgers and onion rings. We loved it! Can't wait to go again!

To make a long story short, don’t expect to be welcomed if you decide to patronize this establishment while being non-white passing. They didn’t even look at us, let alone greet us when we walked in & no one ever came to take our orders. A white male duo walked in about 15 minutes into our wait we’re patient, assumed maybe they were busy with online orders or whatever & were instantly greeted with smiles & help. Even after taking their orders, they still didn’t speak to us. They couldn’t have made it less obvious that we were not welcome if they tried. The floor, tables, bathroom literally everywhere disgusting, filthy & sticky. I don’t understand how this place has lasted so long, it’s actually quite interesting! Anyhow, we just left; nothing to be mad about really, racism is alive & well today as it always has been ‍. If you decide to eat here, it’s your money, so whatever but this was my experience. & oh, & we were a group of Hispanic, Middle Eastern & Bi-racial black & white so yea, definitely not “just in our heads”.

Exactly what we were looking for! Burgers are good but not big perfect for us. Mustard, pickles, and onions seem to come standard so if you don't want them, you'll need to be explicit and ask for exclusions.Food: 5/5

Nothing compares when you want great old fashioned hamburger joint food at its best. Excellent for kids, food is delivered by a train! UPDATE- Recently revisited and YES it is still as good as when Fritz himself was dishing burgers 50 years ago! I was going to take a picture of the food but forgot and ATE IT! With our without kids, give it a try.

I have been eating at this restaurant for over 30 years. It is still amazing and the trains are still awesome to deliver food. Everyone young and old should go there.Food: 5/5

Great experience for our train loving toddlers and us! The chicken sandwich was tasty! The original Fritz's was a great stop!

Fritz's is a KCK institution! Been visiting here since I was young. The burgers are fantastic and fresh. The onion rings are crunchy and have a great taste. Kids love to have their food delivered by a train and watch the trains as they drive around the ceiling dropping off food boxes. I highly suggest a visit if you are in the area.
