I hired this attorney for a sensitive case. He agreed to do it for a set price. After the case was complete, I receive an invoice for thousands of dollars! His response? "It cost more to complete than I thought it would when I made that agreement". Excuse me, so you, as an attorney, tried to defraud me by reneging on a written agreement for payment because you felt you deserved more money!? I should have reported his behavior to the bar. Don't hire this guy.

DO NOT HIRE!! I’m a professional automotive consultant who does not live in Green Bay. I got a warning for speeding on i43 going 79mph & as a result got charged with 2nd OWI for blowing .101 on officer’s breathalyzer. I was not belligerent or swerving in the least bit. My only infraction should have been speeding.
I blew .08 when I arrived to the jail shortly after blood draw, which I was pretty much forced to take. I kept insisting on performing my own evaluation as mentioned in the consent form which was read to me by the police officer. I asked countless times how I was to go about performing my own evaluation because I’ve been blatantly false accused by other police departments in the past.
I ultimately agreed to have my blood drawn with the understanding that I’d be able to get my own evaluation once released & that my license would remain valid. Sure enough, conveniently for them, the BAC results came back at .102 which bumped me up to the next level of severity on charges.
When I asked Chris about performing my own evaluation on the first visit to his office he replied “no one’s ever done that” instead of informing me of the proper processes & procedures.
There was minimal effort on Chris’ behalf throughout the entire process. Right away he set false expectations in regards to helping me w/ not losing my license since it’s essential for my career.
He sent the initial administrative review letter to DMV which I appreciated. However, he absolutely dropped the ball when it got to the 2nd step in the process which involved submitting a judicial review through GB court system within a certain time period which HE NEVER DID!!!
Multiple emails were ignored & I barely received follow up (if any) throughout my whole experience. I had to insist many times for a simple call back in regards to my questions.
He then set false expectations AGAIN on our last appointment before my hearing making me plead no-contest since he’d be asking for 5 days opposed to 25 days in jail, a transfer to my county, & the possibility of getting gps bracelet for a fee which all sounded reasonable.
When it came down to it, he asked for 15 days instead of the 5 days which we had discussed prior to hearing. He didn’t even mention transfer to my county where I’ve worked for 5 years & recently purchased my first home at.
In the end I got 20 days in brown county jail, 13 months suspended license, 13 months interlock, assessment classes, and I don’t even know how many more fee’s that are yet to come as a result of his weak statements & poor consulting.
After my hearing, he’s only responded to one email w/ a phone number to Brown County jail & Huber office. No initiative on Froelich’s behalf whatsoever. He has ignored me since in regards to helping me at least transfer to my county. Again, I don’t live in Green Bay.. it’s not easy for me to make a trip to get necessary paperwork which was the whole reason as to why I hired a lawyer.
I hired him in the hopes that he’d help me thoroughly since I was appointed a public defender my first OWI for a .07 at the age of 20 when I got stuck in snow & could not afford a reputable lawyer at the time.
I would have been better off representing myself. Complete waste of money.

Lazy. Part of the money grab that takes place for a DUI. Did nothing for $3500 except come late to court. Glosses over details. I could have gotten help from Vet Treatment Court, but too lazy to check on it for me. Look for a different lawyer!

Chris Froelich did awesome with my case! I couldn't ask for better representation, and will definitely choose him again! He cared for my case on a personal level, and showed up to all the court dates prepared, and was very professional! I recommend him to help with your case!

Stay away from Christopher Froelich. I retained Chris for a family court matter and he did absolutely nothing. When we met he was very personable and acted like he really cared about the case. When it was time to go to court he would either A. Not show up, B. Show up late, or C. send his legal assistant in his place. We would have meetings and discuss our plan and what he was going to do, and the other party would disagree (which is why you have an attorney to get through these types of disagreements) and he would not fight them or try to negotiate. Chris would flat out say "Ok that's what we'll do." He wouldn't even try to meet them in the middle!! The other party got everything they wanted. We even had a recommendation in OUR FAVOR and the other party STILL got everything they wanted. Chris will also (like another reviewer said) purposely try and exceed his retainer for doing nothing. I wish I would have listened to the other reviews because the same thing that happened to them has happened to me. Stay away from this attorney. If you retain Christopher Froelich for representation you will regret it. If the negative reviews on Google aren't enough, go to Avvo, they say worse than what is on here. The negative reviews are overwhelming and they all say the SAME THING, stay away from Froelich Law Offices.
