Chicken is juicy and flavorful, fries are solid but overall it’s a soggy mess. The pickles were tasty but there are far too many pickles are top and it soaked through the bun and ruined the whole experience. Overall a big disappointment because this could have been tasty if it wasn’t executed so poorly. I don’t think I’ll be back
Chicken over cooked on the outside and raw on the inside. I feel like someone gave me their garbage. Waffle fries are cold and cheesy bread gross. My first and last time going here.
I really wanted to like this place but it was actually pretty terrible. I had the Knockout spicy fried chicken sandwich, seasoned cabbage, knockout sauce. Some of the chicken was not bad, but most of it was pretty dry and chewy. The fries weren't any better. The seasoning they used wasn't bad, but they put way too much of it. It was too salty. It's also pretty pricey overall, and not worth it IMO. I saw a sign for something called volcano fries for $20. $20! Why are french fries $20?!?!?! Especially at one of these fast food-esque type places?! Do yourself a favor - go across the street to Shake Shack, save a few bucks, and you'll get a chicken sammie that's WAY better.
Chicken to bun ratio was on point. Only reason why it's not 5 stars is because chicken was hot and bun was ice cold like it was sitting in the fridge. Toast your buns Fuku and you can be a 5!
Best fried chicken bites in downtown. fast and nice service
Tasty chicken sandwich, a bit of a queue for the food as it's made to order. Located in the quieter section of Brookfield, better opportunity to get a seat.
One of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever eaten. The crispy breading is everything!
"the sandwich" ... Not as revelatory as people say, but ... Yeah it's pretty darned great.
So I can't speak for others who gave less favorable reviews but my first time here was a fantastic experience. The food tasted amazing and fresh. I love good fried foods and this was some of the best I have tasted. I had some type of slushy with alcohol in it and whatever it was it was amazing. The sauces were all fun and the staff was friendly and helpful. Will def be back.
As excited as I was to try one of the other offerings from David Chang, I found Fuku + to be a large let down. Walking in I was excited by the diner style and simple decor, and the friendly service was helpful too. I ordered the thing Fuku plus in known for, the chicken sandwich. Now I was expecting something looking a little more like a burger, but what I received looked more like plane food. The chicken itself was absolutely delicious, and tender and oh-so-moist, but the overall finish of the meal in the bread was a massive let down. I didn't like the squashed look of the bun and the overall lacking of condiments or additions to the sandwich itself. Staff was a little bit pushy to have us make our orders quicker, which I 100% didn't appreciate either. Personally i think you are better off just ordering the Korean fried chicken for something filling and really delicious.
