Order at the counter cafe. The baked good looked phenomenal, but we didn’t have room after the hearty breakfast. My veggie omelette was overcooked, but still good. The gravy was a bit gritty and meaty for my taste. The Bloody Mary was good. The mugs of coffee were large and lovely. Nice atmosphere, small venue, nice employees.
Went for breakfast two days in a row while visiting for business. Shrimp and crab eggs Benedict, blueberry bread pudding French toast, ham and cheese quiche with salad and half biscuit and gravy. Try the Dakota bread, hearty multi grain bread.
Here's the deal with Gallop Cafe - I went for brunch and it was fantastic. The BLOODY MARY has got to he one of the best in Denver. It's homemade and delicious and is served in a chalice and comes with a chaser and it is not too spicy and weighs like 45 pounds in that giant glass so be ready to hoist it up but don't worry it's worth it. Seriously the best. I had a skillet thing with potatoes and eggs and it was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Also sampled the blueberry croissant bread pudding which was OUTRAGEOUSLY GREAT. Service was great. Friendly and chill but very much capable.
If you think the food at Gallop Cafe is half as taste as it looks you're still selling yourself short! The spices, the flavors and the combination is perfectly balanced for you to flower your food along before you get a chance to take a photo. The espresso is delectably smooth and the staff aren't just servers but get you laughing on a Tuesday morning amazing. Great choice for food, music, espresso! Great little tuckaway. P.S. They also have dog treats just in case your husband has been a good boy lately.
Super friendly hostesses and yummy food. I tried the "Dubliner" Irish breakfast with Rye toast. It was all cooked fresh and very tasty. I enjoyed chatting with the wonderful hostess behind the counter and felt really welcome in a cozy cafe environment. Will be back!
Arrived around 1pm for brunch on a warm Saturday afternoon, famished after a gym workout. There was only one person at the bar and one couple seated. They also have an outdoor patio. Everything is 2 seat tables. The vibe was welcoming, with a menu handed to me to order at the counter and fun music playing at a good volume. The place has character and nuance to it, with decorations, pictures, plants and timely pieces. I ordered the salmon Benedict $17.42 with tax, before tip, which came out within 10 minutes. It was presented well overall. Unfortunately, the English muffin was a bit hard and undesirable for my liking, and the overall Benedict did not stand out, especially at this price point. The side of fruit and potatoes were both good, although would have enjoyed a bit more of a portion of side potatoes. The meal is a borderline 3, while the rest of the place was an easy 4 rating. I also noticed there was limited mobile data connection for me inside Google Fi and no apparent Wi-Fi. They also have a no laptop or meeting policy on the weekend that may be a deal breaker for some. I would suggest this place for couples looking for a relaxing meal or old friends catching up. Their smoothies and treats, as well as coffee, may be good options here as well.
This place is very clean and friendly. I had the avocado toast with poached eggs and it was perfect. The bloody Maria was amazing. I was here on a Friday morning and it was busy but not crazy.
Le Montreal croissant is legendary. Eggs perfectly poached, hollandaise is creamy but not too rich. Asparagus provides a great crunch/texture contrast to the egg. Potatoes were a little firm, but still a great dish all around.
The staff was SO friendly. Very fast service and the food was delicious.
Great little cafe in the highlands. The breakfast menu is pretty varied and all of it is good. Breakfast croissant sandwich, avocado toast, lox and bagel - all good stuff. They also serve alcohol if you want to add a little booze to your coffee. It’s an order at the counter and the wait staff will bring your food to your table style place. They have a small outdoor patio where they allow dogs which is great on nice days.
