I liked this park a lot the sand box was clean and had water the kids could turn and it came out which was a huge hit for my three and two year olds! The hill and slide they ran around and then there was a Portland park set up that had giant games the kids loved to play
Great place for active children to play, there is a soft ground cover underneath play areas that are built into the landscape. And there are 3 sets of chimes/bells, a skateboarding area, agility challenge areas, picnic tables and lighted sidewalk for an evening stroll. Overall, a nice park.
our second visit after years away and they have done a lot of work! I love the natural areas adjacent to the astroturf hills, it’s a nice contrast. I sure wish I’d had soma of these playgrounds when I was young. Looking forward to using the splash pads during these scorching afternoons!
Loved all the options they have here. Park was kept clean and didn't have any unwanted guests roaming around. Great playground as well. Picnic area: Had a good amount of picnic tables
We spent a good part of our summer here. The park staff was ama, ing. Engaged withe my kids, had fun activities planned. The park itself is beautiful and lots of stuff to do. Skatepark, sand pit, swings, exercise equipment, slides and such.
Literally love this park! The grass hill has fake grass on it! Perfect for kids to slide down on! Has a big sand pit, skate park, It has two outside workout equipments clean cement paths! Well maintained grass. On the other side of the park the have a small water park!
Best park around for the kids. Lots of fun activities. Bring a piece of cardboard though, the kiddos will thank you when they are sliding down the astro turf hills. Playground: The kids didn't want to leave. They had so much fun
Very good park. My 6 year old and 3 year old love this park. So much things to do. And so clean. Every Saturday they have some awesome activities for kiddos, like last Saturday before school started they had kiddos make bracelets. Just wish they didnt have sand area. That belongs at ocean... just my thought.
When I discovered this park it was at night and mostly I just visited the big balls that were soft and did gymnastics on them but they make for great pictures and playing with kids and there's all different shapes and features in this park they're all different and if you go over another area you can be in the fountain and you go in another area you're at a skatepark Playground: Such a great park it's very safe there is a sandbox with toys and water features I mean you could really have this be a cool neighborhood park with a vet and families spending all afternoon Restrooms: Having restrooms right there that are big enough to fit in just is more than enough Dog-friendliness: My dog and I sit on the Green mound in the middle of you maybe have seen us there see you next time Picnic area: There are so many pictures it's really a great park Tell the trees for shade little bit but that'll come
Gateway Discovery is one of my favorite parks! It's accessible which makes my job super fun and simple! I work with individuals who have developmental and physical disabilities, and they love spending time here! Everyone loves the sensory items like the chimes and xylophone. Everything is accessible, the main building offers free wifi, there are staff on site, the park is ginormous, and they also have board games!
