Gene's Heartland Foods

This is the only grocery store in Wamego. They have a great selection of products/produce and even fishing gear. I gave it a 3 out of 5 because of the prices of things. With us living 15 minutes from Manhattan what a gallon of milk costs here is cheaper in Manhattan...but e buy it because it's either that or drive to town. Also, they could work on the staff. The ones who have worked here over the years are friendly, courteous, and helpful. However, their staff they hire from the high school could really use some customer service classes. Typically don't even greet you, or smile for that matter. So, if you're needing help, ask for someone older than younger because they'll help you no problem. Love seeing Dana whenever he's in because he just makes it a great shopping experience.

Well i go there every day what dause google think that people come from hundreds of miles to come to wamego grocery store i dont know tell me 😑

Well keep and a friendly staff. Their meat is fairly cheap but their dairy is poorly stocked. Multipul times I've ended up with expired product and even a milk that was sour enough it went completely solid. I like to give benefit of the doubt and think there was another explanation or that it may not of been their daily but we no longer but our milk, eggs or dairy products their.

They are always ready to help in any way they can. They also have a friendly group of people working for them.
