Super friendly staff and members! Clean gym with everything you need. Most importantly, they have Hammer Strength equipment, tons of dumbbells and benches. It's not crowded, and they have amazing hours. They also have showers and a sauna and the locker rooms are always clean. They literally have everything. I highly recommend you do a day pass. Ask for Hadar. He's a great guy and will hook you up with the best membership possible out of all their locations! They have a big Genesis in independence, and vivian as well.
The Genesis Health Clubs Boardwalk location is great! From their staff to their equipment it is all around an excellent facility to not only go-to but to be apart of. You truly feel like you’re apart of a family when you step foot inside the facility. Zero judgement whatsoever and every employee who works there is willing to help you reach your fitness goals. From the GM Brandon to the very knowledgeable and helpful trainers Jared, Cody, and Matt they are all amazing people and will always make sure you are taken care of as a member of the gym. I cannot recommend the Genesis Boardwalk location enough. I highly suggest if you are shopping around for a new gym to check out this facility! I promise you, you won’t be disappointed!
I’ve been going to Genesis gyms on boardwalk now for approximately two years have retained the services of a personal trainer. Jared has been outstanding in guiding my physical fitness journey. Local management by Brandon and Kaitlyn have been supportive and helpful and providing a positive experience to achieve ones fitness goals!
In town for a week and needed a gym that meets all of my hyrbrid fitness Hyrox and Spartan training needs, free weights, Concept2 rowers, treadmills, sauna, turf sled push/pull, and more. This place has it all, I won’t have to deviate from my training schedule one bit! Great staff, clean, modern, just perfect!
This location is subpar in comparison to all the other Genesis locations in the Kansas City area. It has to be the smallest and the most cramped site and it lacks basic amenities other locations have, like locks on the lockers in the locker room and a towel service. I’m not sure if it was the cramped feeling inside the building or the overwhelming amount of staff standing at the front desk but the vibes are off here.
Senior Member 75 years old for two years; excellent club with good facilities; staff & management make Senior members welcome & cared for! we are able to blend in with the younger members for our 'pretty important life extendng workouts'.
Eventually you will lose out on $200 when you cancel your membership as they charge your "annual fee" on day of cancellation along with paying off the last 2 months of membership. In other words when you sign the cancellation paperwork you agree to above coming out to ~$192 - there is no other method of cancelling.
Great gym! Very clean, spacious, and plenty of equipment. The sauna is nice and warm as well!
Place is extremely overpriced for what you get. I have been to other Genesis' that have much better quality equipment and accessibility. The place smelt like musty sweat and the bathrooms were in horrible condition. I like Genesis but this specific location was nothing like others.
Excellent customer service. This is the second time I’ve been to this gym visiting from Texas and it has all the essentials to make sure you can get a good workout in!
