This place is amazing ! They offer so much with different classes, the pool , the vast weight lifting area, and of course the cardio floor. Not to mention the track around the top with all the windows. It makes it almost relaxing when running. My trainer Keenan is absolutely wonderful! You can tell he really loves what he does. He provides super helpful information and amazing workouts tailored to you to help you reach your goals. He’s super easy going and very professional. I look forward to continue working with him.
Same machines broke since before Covid. Several of the ones that due work don’t work correctly. Movie theater room works half the time. Need more free weights especially since people sit on their phones taking up machine time instead of working out
The club is nice and spacious. Plenty of squat racks and cardio equipment. Great amenities like a running track, sauna, pool, and basketball and racquetball courts. The staff is very friendly and professional. The only minor complaint would be that sometimes it takes awhile for certain machines to be repaired. For the most part, this isn’t a huge issue though.
Showers are out of 5 showers done to 2 and the rest are in very poor condition, see attached pictures. Manger has made several requests for major repairs. I feel like I am paying $4 per gallon and the station has got the system set up to only provide 75% for each gallon sold. I think I should be getting a full gallon that I paid for, wouldn't you? Staff are doing their jobs and maintaining things but they don't due plumbing.
Very mediocre and heavily used equipment. So much staff yet all they did was talk with each other. Place was constantly lacking cleanliness at one point the smoothie bar got shut down due to “extremely poor sanitation”. Overall, find a local gym which is cheaper and offers an overall better time there.
Genesis Health Club Sprauge is a average to nice gym. It has a pool cardio movie theater half court basket ball lots of cardio equipment a racket ball court and more. The reason why I would give it a 3.5 of 5 I rounded down to a 3 is the flooring on the 1st floor is in bad shape. Needs to be at the least cleaned if not replaced. Some equipment has rust spots and pads that are torn and could use being replaced. One stair machine in the cardio theater needed service as it was not operating as it should. Again not a bad gym if it’s close to you it’s worth going but there are other locations that are nicer and newer.
This boarded window has been like this for about 4 months. Crazy! If you need help finding a contractor let me know! Girls lock room is a dungeon. No one to replace light bulbs too? Lots of deferred maintenance. The only reason I’m at this club is because of trainer Mike!
Love the convenience of locations, size of facility, and amount of equipment except for bar clamps!.However, facility does not appear to get cleaned regularly in all places glass, especially, and broken items including equipment take a long time to be fixed. It's frustrating that Genesis is spending money renovating locations when others need attention first.
Can’t believe a health club with a pool and a sauna would not have towels available. We came in from out of town and we couldn’t do our workout because of this. Very unlike a Genesis to not have a simple thing like a towel. Would not recommend going to this location.
The water fountains never work. Several of the bikes in the spin room are broken and have been forever. The bathrooms smell terrible.
