Went for my birthday with my whole family and had a great time. The food is fresh and it fun to see what everyone puts in their bowls and what sauces they use. It's a way to get what YOU want and your company can get what THEY want. Perfect! They helped everyone sing happy birthday with gong it was nice.
Walked in. Asked if we had been before here before and we have not. Asked to get sat a high table and she said no and walked away from where she put us to sit. I figured we go to get our food. So I guess your supposed to wait for a waiter. Everyone didn't know what to say when we stood there dumb looking not knowing what to do. A lady that spoke broken English was very apologetic and helped us. The service is no good food was really good other than the lady with broken English. Staff seemed like they have no management to give them direction and guidance. I think they noticed how awful there first service was wuth us in the beginning and tried towards the end. The tables are to high or the chairs are to low but it was not comfortable sitting in the booth with the tables
We walked in and got seated right away, party of 3. Not a busy time of day. Waited for 15 minutes with no service. In that time, 2 other parties got seated. One not in our section, who immediately got drinks after they got seated. The other party was seated directly behind us, in our section, waited a couple of minutes and then a server went straight to get them their drink order, acting as though we didn’t even exist! Definitely a bad experience, and we felt singled out for no reason! A party of 3! Ridiculous, do not recommend if this is how you’re going to treat customers.
The Establishment was clean and they are still doing some socially distanced dining which was nice. The staff is friendly and polite. The food however is just okay, the tofu is very dry and spongy and a lot of the steak was fatty and to grisly to eat. It was worth a try however I don't think I would return or necessarily recommend
If you have been to other Mongolian BBQ stir fry places this is not the same type of food. It's good to have that understanding. The food doesn't end up with the stir fried flavor because the sauces are too thick. Other Mongolian places tend to have very liquid sauces which allows the noodles to get the fried yummy exterior. For example, most places will tell you to add at least a couple of ladles of oil to fry the noodles. Additionally they usually use thin sliced meat that picks up a bit more flavor. The food picks up the flavor directly with minimal liquid or sauces at the end of the process. This type relies on the sauce to carry the flavor. So really I just don't like this Mongolian Stir Fry that well because it is so different from traditional Mongolian BBQ. If you do like the thicker saucy kind, ignore my food review. Other thoughts. The sign saying you will be charged $5 for messing up the order of your food is ridiculous. It definitely seems like the priority is to just herd people through the food line as fast as possible, so going back is unacceptable because it would slow them down. Due to this being quite different from other Mongolian BBQ places, staff should ask every customer if they have been there before. To be fair, I understand that this is a franchise so they don't have full control of how things are done. But we didn't have good service because the staff didn't establish we were new customers quickly enough and other staff members weren't that friendly. Bathrooms are pretty bad. For the price range of this restaurant bad bathrooms are unacceptable. Example is that the faucet will spray you if you turn it on all the way. And they weren't super clean.
Very slow service - waited a while to be seated, although we were the only ones waiting. Multiple waitresses passed directly in front of us without acknowledging our existence. Once seated our waitress was good, but it took a looong time to receive food compared to other locations of this restaurant. Women's bathroom was disgusting: smelled of urine, out of soap, very dirty floor. I like Genghis Grill, but felt let down at this location.
Everything about it was amazing. Service was great. I enjoy that they now have pre-made bowls. The appetizers are really good. I rate it a 5/5Food: 5/5
Ridiculously expensive and the ingredient selection was limited. For one person with no appetizer, no dessert, and only water for a drink it costs $30. Not a good value at all. Only got an extra star because the service was good.
Nice waitress made it pleasant. Everything else was mediocre. Kind of expensive. Fairly good crowd for dinner time if you are having beer or wine.
Have been to this location a few times. The first time was a good experience, but the rest were awful. One time, they messed up our orders. They gave the wrong base for both mine and my husband’s orders. This last time they overcooked, shrimps were so dry, steak was rather chewy, veggies were burnt. Btw, every time we went there, even though it didn’t seem busy, we waited forever to get the food. Take your time and money to somewhere else!
