I brought my note 8 in for a broken camera lens repair. I brought the phone in with a case on it, and it was returned the same way. The transaction went off without a incident. I dropped off the phone on lunch, and picked the phone up after work. The new camera lens worked as I had expected. After about a week I took the phone out of the case to clean it in preparation to trade the phone in. When I removed the phone from the case, I was amazed to see half of the phone was purple!!! At this point I called the store, they explained that they accidently broke the back glass during the repair. The only back they had was a non Samsung aftermarket purple back. I asked why I wasn't notified that my phone was half purple, and they didn't have an explanation. I asked about getting it fixed properly and they offered to put another aftermarket back on it, but they still didn't have one. If they had any intention on making this right they would have ordered one as soon as they broke mine. I asked about getting the Samsung factory back, and they explained they can't get Samsung parts. Moving forward I'll be taking my business to ubreakifix as they use factory parts. It is worth the couple extra bucks.
Absolutely phenomenal customer friendly and helpful service. Not only did they reasonably fix my daughter's tablet but also got me into a unlock Verizon phone which is beautifully working. Most of all I enjoyed Nick and Josh. Definitely not one to do any type of reviews but I promised them that I would do one for their sake. This speaks volume and believe you will trust their service
Would highly recommend. Apple support told me I needed a new battery for my iphone, but after they wouldn't tell me how much that would cost and them insisting that I could "see for myself" that I needed a new battery using a feature my phone doesn't even have, it seemed sketchy and like they didn't know what they were talking about. Luckily I found this place! They confirmed in a few minutes that it was the battery and were able to replace it within two hours on the same day, for, as it turns out, half the price of what Apple would have charged and no extra installation fee. My phone works great now. Thanks!
Our second trip here. Both visits have had stellar customer service. Another local repair shop did not even look at my phone, simply guessed the issue and gave a quote. Genius Phone Repair Avon kept my phone a couple of hours and gave a much less expensive solution. Highly recommend this store.
The service seems to be done well. I'm assuming they wouldn't be able to charge so much if they did a poor job. That being said, I am greatly disappointed in the customer service I received from this location. I was given an idea how much to expect cost would be, which ended up being almost half what they charged me in the end. I was also given a 3-4 day wait time expectation, which was actually a 10 day wait time because the 'part got lost in the mail'. When I asked if they expedited the part when they reordered it, they said no. No apologies only excuses of how it was not in their hands and there was not an expedited shipping option available. They didn't seem to be able to offer specifics on where or how the parts are from. They gave me a $20 discount for my troubles that i had to initiate. Then when I went to pick up my phone and asked for a price breakdown of parts vs labor I was rudely told I could do the repair myself and threatened to put the broken screen back on if i was not satisfied. Not the best way to treat customers paying almost $200 for an easy phone repair. They offered a lifetime warranty but my experience was so poor I am highly discouraged to returning back to this company. Very disappointed as a customer service representative myself for over 12 years. This is not the way people should be treated.
I needed a battery replacement for my Huawei Nexus 6P. They installed it in about 3 hours and it's working great. However, I did have to go to the store twice. The 1st visit was to pay a deposit so they'd order the battery they don't take payments over the phone or online. However I was given a $15 discount and the battery has a lifetime warranty. The Avon store is the closest store, about 80 miles round-trip, but well worth it. They have great customer service and I would go there again.
These guys fixed a Galaxy Note 5 that my wife had broken. I brought it in and they ran some cleaning test on it to see if that would fix the screen issue. It had been water damaged before so this process was to help clean the corrosion. Unfortunately, it didn't work but thankfully, I didn't get charged for that service. They called me before they did any fix so I wasn't paying for a service I didn't want. They were able to fix the phone within a day because they had the replacement part in stock. It was a bit pricey but that's the cost of OEM parts. Overall, a pleasant and professional experience.
5 weeks ago i took my iPhone X to the Avon location to have the screen replace because of a couple of lines were showing on the screen and could not see the full screen. There were no cracks in the screen. This was the second time they replace the screen. So after I dropped it off this last time I came back 4 hours later and was informed that the technician who worked on my phone had exacerbated the Situation by braking a crucial part of the phone while he was putting the new screen back on. So they tell me that they would have to send it out to another place to have it Soldered Here 5 week later I go to pick up iPhone X. Then they charge me for their mistake.
My poor phone was severely damaged more than I had realized and Josh kept me up-to-date on the repair and went above and beyond expectations! I have an HTC 1 M9 and he did a FANTASTIC job! I can't thank them enough! Not only was it excellent service, the price was also unbeatable!
Great experience! Thought my IPhone 6s might be toast. Couldn’t get it to power up at all. Took it to Jared at Genius late Thursday. It was ready early next day. And the price was great, especially when compared to other places I researched. Chose Genius due to other reviews and I wasn’t disappointed.
