Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital

Love this place. One of the few Vet offices in town who care more about the animal than the profits. Every time I call I get a quick answer and appointment. Prices are fair and they give alternatives options. If they’re taking new animals, they’re worth the switch!

A wonderful staff with literally, gentle doctors. I'm so happy that we found them. Dr. Dory cares about the health of our pet all while doing her best to keep costs at a minimum.

Not the same owner! It's a Banfield company now. And totally not comfortable with dropping my dog off, and can't stay with her. Then they'll call you to come pick her up. Sorry, I want to stay with my dog as I talk to a vet about what's wrong and about her health. Dr. Philbin was her vet there for many years! He is an Awesome Veterinarian. He retired, but still works a couple of days a week at Redrock Animal on West Charleston Blvd. So, that's where we got my baby girl treated! Thanks to the staff at Redrock Animal.

My visit today was one of the worst days I've ever had. But just to be clear this is at NO fault to the Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital nor any of it's staff members. With much sadness, It was confirmed that my best friend of 14yrs was not expected to be with us for much longer. The ladies who saw my little guy Dobi today were very kind and professional. Calling out of desperation hoping to be seen right away, Jessica was so kind and was able to get us seen within an hour of calling. Upon arriving Jessica was super helpful and friendly. I have to mention that upon arriving immediately it is very noticeable at this Las Vegas location that they are true professionals who have an exceptionally bright and clean office...Which is very appreciated. Due to Dobis condition we did not speak with the vet as it was clear my dog was dying and there wasn't anything they could have done for him. Which dobi did pass on the next day following his visit. Also I just want to say that I was more than ready to pay for there most expensive package to recieve treatment but they had advised me there would be no charge for the visit and kindly made suggestion to put the money towards hospice care. Thank you to the ladies whom did take the time to see us on such short notice I will be bringing my other furbaby Rubi in for regular checkup with your office. Ty again

The ONLY issue is the prices are way too high. I could pay half for the same procedure they are doing to my dog. The only reason I have been going to them is because my dog has build a rapport with them. After this big procedure, I will start taking him somewhere else; I still gave them 5 stars because reviews are supposed to ultimately be about the service. Service isn't bad so far. Just the prices.

The lady that helped us at the front desk lacked customer service skills. She was not friendly, unapproachable and very unhelpful. She spoke to use in a very condescending tone, and spoke to us as if she had an attitude. We came to this location because the usual location we go to didn't have any appointment slots available, now I wish we would've waited to go to our usual location. The doctor and the assistant that helped us were very friendly, helpful and kind and were patient with us while we asked our questions. However, the unprofessionalism that we experienced from the lady at the front desk when we walked in, to when she weighed our kitten, to when she checked us out, was enough to make me never want to bring either of my fur babies back to this location. Its safe to say we will not be returning to this location.

I am super impressed by Dr. Fujikawa and her knowledge and care of my bearded dragon Medusa. Medusa had to have the tip of her tail amputated so I searched in my area for a reptile specialist and the one I found I believe either falsely represented himself as a specialist or just didn't care. He docked her tail with no pain medication and then gave her back to me with no pain medication or cream to apply to the tip just stating that I could use Neosporin. After 2 days her tail looked black again and she wasn't eating or drinking. I called the vet and they said it was normal and not to worry about it. This didn't sit well with me, she just looked miserable and her tail was oozing. I searched again for another specialist this time looking in the entire Las Vegas area. I saw several recommendations for this animal hospital and decided to bring her in for a second opinion. Dr. Fujikawa did a thorough examination of Medusa and had to give her pain medication, anti-inflammatory and antibiotic as well as a prescription cream for her tail; she also scheduled a follow-up in 10 days. The first vet didn't care if he ever saw her again and didn't give me any information on how to treat her after I went home even after I asked several times. After the visit at Gentle Doctor Animal Hospital the next day Medusa was on the mend, back to eating and drinking and moving about her terrarium. I am very happy to say that her 10 day follow-up went well and Medusa is back to normal. I will gladly make the 30 minute drive to Dr. Fujikawa anytime my dragons need to be checked out. Thank you Dr. Fujikawa for getting my sweet girl Medusa back to being a healthy and happy dragon again!

We initially selected another primary Vet when we moved to the area in October. I am so pleased with the care Binx got that I will be switching my Dachshunds Bowie & Luna to Gentle Doctor as their Primary Veterinarian! Honestly Everything was great, no opportunities from this visit.

The staff here is usually professional and helpful. They are definitely focused on the pets which I can appreciate. They've helped squeeze my dog in for a visit when she's not feeling well and notified me of any health concerns they had. The only room for improvement I see is friendliness on the part of some of the staff members and explanation of some of the post-visit medications or treatment follow-up, based on my 4 or 5 visits so far.

Everyone is so caring. We felt Koa needed to be seen urgently, and they were able to schedule his tests with a visiting doctor and tech. The follow up is awesome. Thank you.
