George Washington Carver High School of Engineering and Science

They prepare you for everything you need to know and the teachers are incredible. It's impossible to feel alone when you attend this school, once you leave, you'll want to go back. Every school has it's downsides but going to this school was the best year of my life.

Both of my children attend Carver. The staff at this school are invested in their students future. Principal Domers is approachable and accessible as head of a school that continually places top 3 public school in the city. He gives weekly phone updates about school activities, closings, test and awards. All the teachers wear multiple hats as all good Philly pub teachers are asked to do without raises or contracts. They are deserving of ALL the support necessary to keep the good teachers employed with benefits, increased salaries and successful punctual contracts. But I digress... Engineering and Science is a top Philadelphia public school for ambitious middle and high school students.

I am attending here in September 2016 as a freshmen, and I am so excited and already in love with this school! It has been a dream of mine to go here since the 4th grade and it has come true! This school is going to help me reach my dreams in becoming a infectious disease doctor with it medical program, it has other amazing programs as well, and many clubs and activities to be involved in. I cant wait, this school is the best!
