Please beware before renting. My husband just received a letter from a prosecutor threatening criminal action for failure to return a flute rented almost 4 years ago. When I called to straighten out what I assumed was some sort of mistake (he told my husband and I to our faces when we rented the flute that since we'd been good customers, once we'd made enough payments, he'd consider the flute bought), he accused me of lying and said he'd tried to contact us for years and had last received payment 2.5 years ago, though we'd set up automatic payments. I've never seen a letter or a missed call or had a voicemail from him, though he continued to accuse me of lying. We returned the flute immediately and paid the 31 months of payments he claimed we still owed. We're not criminals, as anyone who knows us knows, and have no need to steal a flute. We could easily buy one, and have now, though we're short the flute. :P He refused to even admit he might be better off changing his business practices, such as actually contacting customers, or not lying to them. He most likely lost track of his accounts (it took him an exceedingly long time to access any records on his computer) and he told us this happens to 3 or 4 of his mere 60-70 customers every year. That's not good business. If I'd been aware, I'd have taken care of it two and a half years ago. He also deleted this review on his Facebook page, even though it's accurate. Go figure.
