Came here with a large group right at opening, and it turned out to be the right choice. The place is what it intends to be - good food, priced well, with a roomy atmosphere, that serves lots of regular people very well.
I liked my French Dip very much. The fries were good, the iced tea was delicious, and all my friends left happy, exactly what we hoped for.
It does have cafeteria style ordering if you like, but we were served by a waitress, who was friendly and accommodating to our large group size. Next time I'm in Atlanta, I will gladly recommend going here again to my friends.

We were doing the what do you want to eat song and dance and came across this gem. Great food, good portions, not bad pricing. Jordan was great and knowledgeable and friendly. Only problem is it got a bit hot. This was an awesome change of pace from the tourist spots.

Great food. I had the Ruben. And we shared wings . Their wings are snoked, then flash fried before tossing in sauce. The flavor is unbelievable. Phenomenal Long Island Iced Tea too

I had doubts but we visited twice in 2 days this place was so awesome! Our waitress was amazing the first night! The buffalo chicken dip was exceptional. If you're looking for a nice place to have a few drinks and look at some sports, this is it! They even let you run the music selection and don't mind when your selections are a little strange!

I'm conflicted on this rating. As a pub with beer only, I enjoyed this place quite a lot. They had a list of local beers and I was able to expand my horizons. The food situation was odd, though and will not be for some diners.
Be aware that you order beer at the bar or at the table, but you order food via a cafeteria style food counter. The food was good, but a little overpriced for food you stand to order and wait for before you sit.
I cannot rate service as I was there during a convention. Service is bad everywhere due to the large numbers of people.
Update:
I returned to Gibney's the following year for the same convention. I was there a day before the massive crowds hit and so able to have service at a table a d really asses the place better.
Their food is pretty solid! We actually returned there to eat a few times before we left the convention because we could get decent pub food, and great beer at a decent price and also be slightly away from the even crazier madness of the hotel bars. The service was great during the quieter hours of the week. At peak hours, service was as noted originally, and to be expected with that many people filtering in and out for a giant convention. They have a great jukebox too! It's one of those new digital kinds that has nearly every sing known to man. We had a great time with our music selection!
Honestly, my friends and I will be making Gibney's The place to have a beer when we need a break from the crowds to re-charge with a classic pub atmosphere.
