Always delightful to come to the coffee shop, any time of day. A spirit of community flows through everything. The employees are gracious and kind, and ensure that you are cared for. I also appreciate their landscape design. I heard that the Ginkgo tree tells us what the weather has done for centuries. What a great tree and a great coffee shop. Thank you for many morning burritos made perfectly, and delicious scones and live music and excellent art. One of the best parts of the midway, not to mention outreach for supporting labor movements and being an information hub with the board in the back entryway.
Very down to earth coffee shop. Nice staff and decent coffee! They have a front and back door - feels like a community spot with people coming in and out. Nothing fancy and prices reflect that. Overall, a nice stop!Recommended dishesBrewed Coffee
Ginkgo Coffeehouse is a local artist, community, and student's gem! The service might be a little slow at times because it does get busy, but believe me the drinks and food are worth the wait. My favorites are the soup of the day, curried chicken salad, and breakfast burrito with salsa and honey. This is one of the few places that offers a Red Miel Latte. It's a tea that gets frothy. Yum! So buy one of their cards for sale, pick one of their perfectly spaced table settings and dream of buying all the fun treats and trinkets they have for sale while writing a friendly card. Because everyone likes to recieve a non bill in the mail. Enjoy!
With very reasonable prices, a homey atmosphere, and broad menu to choose from, Ginko is the perfect place for casual meetups over a warm beverage. They’ve got it all from coffee to tea to smoothies and ice cream. I will say the salad and black bean soup I ordered one night left much to be desired. You’re probably better off with their all-day breakfast items and sandwiches. The cinna-mint tea served in a pint glass was awesome though. I’ll probably be back at some point to try more of their menu and to see a performance on their stage. I got the sense that Ginko is a cornerstone of the community, feel happy to support it, and have no trouble recommending it. There’s something there for everyone, regardless of age or outlook. That said, if you’re trying to have quiet, productive work time, don’t be surprised by the parents bringing in restless kids for ice cream on a Monday night.
love that they have an online ordering system. i love breakfast sandwiches and i like all the options they have. I ordered a breakfast sandwich with avocado, cheddar cheese and sausage on a croissant. the croissant was super flacky and yummy. I also like the tundra, and they have lots of non dairy options to select : great vibes inside. prices are much better than groundswell and just as good!
My go-to study or hang out spot; seating/decor is so fun and eclectic. Always a good atmosphere, always friendly and helpful service. I get the Tarpit every time, but I've tried some of the lattes and they were all the perfect sweetness. I bring all my friends here Food: 5/5
My new favorite place to study! The tea is great and they have vegan and vegetarian food options. Plus they're open till 8 for anyone who needs to study for a long period of time or finish that paper, this is the place :Food: 5/5
Definitely the best London Fog I've had in the twin cities! They don't have it on the menu, but I just asked and they were happy to oblige. I also got a scone and muffin, both were delicious! I'm not gluten free, but they also have several options for GF with signs posted for additional options on request. Parking is also super easy AND the staff is delightful. 10/10 wonderful experience
My friends and I really wanted a good mocha. The mochas they made tasted like they put hot chocolate powder with espresso on top. They were also lukewarm. We were disappointed. I also peeked in the display case and there was a tiny hair on one of the quiches. The staff was friendly but I won't be going back.Food: 1/5
Decent little coffee shop. Ordered an iced thai coffee that was tasty but not traditional. The iced chai was overly sweet. The sandwhiches were good and the molasses cookie made me happy.
