We ordered directly from the restuarant and picked our order up. Wait time was 30 minutes. Absolutely wonderful sushi. The Anaconda Roll was the bomb. Portland Headlight roll was a totally different type of sushi than we had before and was also great. Friendly service as well.
Fresh and consistent. Family run, and they are very friendly and kind to customers. The bento box was awsome...the chicken was very moist and tender. The miso soup is very good with lots of nori and tofu.Food: 5/5
Ginza town is without a doubt my favorite sushi spot in Portland and I've tried a lot of sushi. Their rolls have the perfect combination of seafood and sauces that don't overwhelm the rolls. It seems like a lot of places in Portland really overload the sauces and it's just too much. Ginza town really seems to take great pride in their food and interior design. I'm bummed they're not open for dine in anymore but it totally makes sense with covid and staffing shortages. I do miss eating indoors because the atmosphere is so welcoming but I'm still happy I get to enjoy their food for takeout.
My favorite sushi spot in Portland, and I don’t say that lightly! Their crab Rangoons are also top tier- fried to perfection! We usually get two orders, and they typically don’t even make it through the drive home!! I am such a fan of their sushi roll called “the portland headlight” - and the “ginza roll” is a classic especially if you like wasabi.
This place is really a hidden gem. They just celebrated their 15th anniversary. The hot pot is fantastic and will easily feed 4 people. It's not overly spicy but still packs a punch. If you are a great seeker their homemade hot oil will satisfy your craving. The sushi was on point and a good value as well. Do yourself a favor and try this place out next time you want something new.
Truly a hidden gem. Just got take out from there tonight for my family. It was GREAT. The service was also wonderful. I could not recommend any more.
Small inviting and clean. Reasonable pricing. Staff is friendly and attentive. The standard or basic rolls are excellent and well made. We got the Special Anaconda Roll... delicious! Sweet mango and Savory salmon and sauce drizzle! We are looking forward to visiting soon to try some entrees to fill in that last star.
A clean, affordable sushi place on Forest Ave. Ginza is right across the street from my work, so I decided to give it a shot. My wife loves their food, and I wanted to see if I would. I ended up getting beef teriyaki for lunch, and for the price - I feel like I got a decent amount of food, and it all came in an attractive package. The interior of the store was very clean, and the staff were very nice and hospitable. My only qualm was that there was a sort of long wait on a day where they essentially had no business and I was the only one in there. My food took about a half hour or more to prepare. Still, I will be back to try other dishes. Would recommend.
Very dry , never had sushi like this : had better rolls at Hannafords to be honest. Maybe just a off day or someone new ?
Overall, pretty great! Great happy hour prices except for one drinks. Friendly, fun atmosphere. It was the first time I tried raw fish, salmon, that was great, too. One out of six orders was wrong, but the staff was nice.
