Gio Dental At Station Landing

I switched to Gio Dental a few years ago and every time I walk out I think "I need to write a review for them" because I have been so much happier since leaving my old dentist. I don't dread when I have an appointment! Starting with a friendly, helpful, front desk you receive convenient email and text reminders for appointments. It is an extremely clean office. The hygienists are thorough and they have the best doctors. Dr. Xu doesn't make you feel rushed, answers any questions/concerns, and does great work. Also- I enjoy the music they play, it helps believe it or not

I had a great experience here. From the scheduling to the time I was sitting on the chair. I was reached out by email to schedule my first appointment, and Diana promptly responded to my request and questions. There was no waiting time when I got there for my first appointment. The waiting area is spaced out and they took my temperature as a precaution. The dental hygienist took some x-rays and was thorough explaining the cleaning process and did an amazing job. Dr. Xu explained the work he was going to do first and took photos of the process. He works with an assistant who is constantly making sure you're okay and keeping your mouth dry. I need to highlight how gentle and careful he was. While putting the anesthesia and while working, I did not feel any discomfort. I had never had a pain-free dental experience, except for this one, and I loved it!

Worst experience ever. I only have one cavity and a little sensitivity, but the dentist said after scanning that I have 3 cavities, and 4 sides need to be filled, and when I pay the money, he told me that I actually filled 6 teeth. Then there is the inability to bite at all and extreme sensitivity to heat and cold. I'd rather I didn't fill my teeth at all, at least I could bite and drink cold water. The solution is to keep telling me that this is a normal situation within a month, but there is no dental floss test and stress test at all, which caused me pain for a month, and the constant adjustment made me wait for a full month. Later, another dentist discovered that the nerves of my teeth were relatively close. In this case, I should not have filled my teeth like this. After filling them, the root canal treatment was necessary. I didn’t want to extract the nerves of three good teeth. Extremely bad experience, I will not continue root canal treatment here, but I still have to pay more money to go elsewhere for treatment. So many unprofessional behaviors and serious consequences, gio's owner told me after two communications that he can give me 10% off, and it is impossible for me to do root canal treatment for free. I can't see any apology, no mention the nerves of the teeth, no floss testing or pressure test. or 4 cavities become 6 when I need to pay the bill? . Is this also my problem? ? ? I won't accept discounts and I won't spend a penny at gio.

First class dental office! I went for an emergency extraction and got it done in 10 minutes, painlessly. Staff and doctor were really nice and professional. Thank you all!

Moved to the area in hopes of finding a great dentist, never had more issues with my teeth after going to this office. I just had some simple cavities filled and haven't been able to chew food on the right side of my mouth in weeks. Extremely disappointed

Gio dental is an extremely friendly and professional office. Every time I go, it is not crowded and you can tell that all staff pay close attention to each guest. I moved to Salem, MA from Medford and still make the drive. From the front desk to the dentists, I felt comfortable, safe, and very trusting in them. I also trust their recommendations- I never felt like they were trying to sell me on stuff, rather, they recommend what is appropriate and necessary . Overall- kind, gentle and trustworthy place!

The place clean. The people are nice;very cooperative. The dentists are professional and able. I have seen many dentists in my life. Dentists , specially, like Dr. John Zu are rare to find. Gio Dental is lucky to have him.

My own personal hell is sitting in a dentists chair and I’m a professional avoider. I’ve had 5 root canals and crowns done in the past and my previous dentist retired just before covid hit. So it’s been a hot minute. I started getting a toothache over the holidays but tried ignoring it until I just couldn’t anymore. Gio was right across the street so I called and they got me in fast. The place is immaculate, smells delicious and there’s parking right out front. Dr. Xu, Diana and the rest of the staff were amazing. I ended up needing ANOTHER root canal but this was by far, my best dental experience in over 40 years. I cannot say enough.

As a dentist myself, I have been very impressed each time I visit Gio Dental - Dr. Xu and Ray were very skilled in their evaluation and each time I leave with my teeth feeling thoroughly clean and well taken care of. The overall experience is extremely comfortable. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Xu and the entire staff at Gio Dental are all incredibly professional and great at their jobs. I came in to have a crown put in, and Dr. Xu answered all of my questions and made me feel at ease. They did an excellent job with the dental work. They even followed up the next day to see how I was feeling.
