I went to Giuseppe’s for the first time last night after friends recommended it so strongly. I was not disappointed. We sat outside which was a ice area, there was the occasional horn honk or traffic noise but generally it wasn’t noticeable which was great because it’s situated on a busy street. We got the bruschetta which was fresh and well flavored, we split the Caesar salad. This salad dressing was a bit non traditional- I think it even had some gin in it, but it was well dressed and tasty. Good croutons too. My partner got the spaghetti with clams and I got the spaghetti with shrimp and a cream sauce, both were good. My favorite was the chocolate cake for dessert. The cake wasn’t overly sweet and the frosting was especially good and the cake was incredibly moist. The service was great, I also liked how the food was delivered by kitchen staff. They employ a lot of kids that seem pretty young but they do a really good job. Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free options and vegetarian options. Parking: There is street parking which can at times be difficult to secure but generally we didn’t have an issue Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is ground level without a step into the place.
So happy we discovered Giuseppe's in the cute Bexley area of Columbus! Jeff was our server and made the evening so enjoyable with great service and delicious recommendations. What a treat! The place was packed so I think we were fortunate to get a table on a busy Friday night. Everything was top notch! Highly recommend!Food: 5/5
My lasagna was very, very dry… so much so that I didn’t finish it. My wife’s shrimp was served tails on and then covered in sauce and no small plate for tails. This dish, while delicious, was incredibly messy and difficult to eat. Servers are very nice, polite, pleasant kids but they need some basic server training. This is a fine dining establishment, don’t rush plates away, don’t interrupt table conversation, don’t reach across people, serve from the correct side… just basic stuff that should be taught to young people working in a restaurant like this. The restaurant was not crowded at all but we were still seated directly adjacent the bar which was loud and made conversation difficult. I should have asked for different table but I’m just not that guy… I would rather complain online later. Giuseppe’s…. Up your game a bit. Parking: After 6:00 lots of free street parking available.
Very rude unattentive bartender. My friend and I came in for some wine and a light dinner. We were treated very poorly. The ravioli was awful. We had to ask for bread when the people we literally moved our seats for at the bar had bread in front of them before we did. Terrible. Will not return.
I've been there before so I wanted to come in and eat there again. The food was great when we had it before. When we came in tonight we did not have a reservation. The host was extremely rude and condescending when we said we didn't have a reservation. I then asked what was the best way to make a reservation because I didn't see anything on their website about reservations. I was again met with condescension; that they were a small family business and they only do phone calls, nothing online. This is fine but at least have it stated on your website or when someone asks a genuine question don't be a jerk when you respond. Overall, it was really rude and left a bad taste in my mouth. I wanted to show the place to my MIL but I probably won't now.
One of the best restaurants I’ve ever been to! I’m in love with every single detail in this place. Beautiful Italian patio, excellent interior design, cozy and romantic bar, delicious authentic food and wines! Music is always perfectly matched. My favorite is live jazz band playing every Monday. Personnel there is always professional and hospitable, hostess, bartenders and servers. I could have breakfast, lunch and dinner at Giuseppe’s for the rest of my life. Thank you so much. Highly recommended.
Authentic Italian cuisine located in the heart of Bexley. Known for being the best in the city. Cozy up inside during the winter and relax on the charming patio in the summer - you feel like you’re on an Italian street corner! Perfect date night spot. Staff is kind and accommodating and the menu offers many gluten free options and fabulous wine selection.
Delicious Italian food with a touch of Italy. I have visited Italy 2016 and the name of this Italian restaurant and the interior decor, felt like I was back in Italy. Nice small menu with some impactful platters. I had their lasagna and it was good, a Cesar salad, and a few adult beverages. They had live music when a TuesdayI came to dine here. Free parking garage near by. Limited free street parking. No time limit to park after a certain time of the day. Nice and friendly staff thank you, Liz. Decent prices.
Best Italian restaurant in Columbus! I love this place and the quality of its food is very high! I love the place and the atmosphere. Giuseppe is incredible and talking with him is always so fun. For sure, it is my to-go spot when I want Italian food.
Came here for a late lunch on Saturday, I ordered the Beef Short Ribs Slowly braised in a mushroom demi-glace sauce, served with gnocchi. Which was pretty good, I really enjoyed the demi -glacé sauce that came with it. The service was great our waitress was very kind and nice. The place got really loud after while. It was really hard to hear my guest at the table. But I would definitely try this place again, if I am in the area.
