Marj is an incredibly knowledgeable, incredibly kind, and incredibly skilled dog trainer. She understands dog psychology better that most people could ever dream, and the dogs love and respect her for it. She doesn't just train dogs, she changes lives. Every dog that she has ever worked with is near and dear to her heart, and every person she has trained a service dog for is too. I am one of them. 5 years ago I came to Marj for help. I had heard that having a service dog could help me regain my independence, but all of the other organizations I had contacted either charged more money than the total value of my parents' house, had a 2 year long waiting list, expected you to fly out to another state and stay there for several months while your dog was trained, or refused to train a dog for me because they thought I “wasn't sick enough.” Marj didn't do any of those things. She asked what I needed, asked how a service dog could help me, and let me meet several of her dogs. When I didn't click well with the first two, she told me, “I have one that I think would be perfect for you, but I hope you hate her because she's mine.” This wasn't just a dog she had rescued because she thought that she would make a good service dog one day. This was her personal dog that she had raised from a puppy. And Marj was right. Sage was perfect. When I brought her home several months later, Marj made it clear that her training never truly ended, that we would need to come back to classes for “tune ups,” and just because it helps to build Sage's confidence. (Marj also cried when she told Sage goodbye and we loaded her up in the car.) 5 years later, and ever time Sage sees Marj, she still gets so excited that she can barely mind her manners, not because she's not well trained, but because she loves her mama. Because of Marj and Sage, I am alive today and will never be able to fully express my gratitude. There is more love in this woman's heart for her dogs than in some people's hearts for their own children.

My service dog was just returned to me after the first stages of training. I cannot speak highly enough of Marj and her trainers. She doesn't just train the dogs, she teaches the handlers how to properly care for the service animal that has become the lifeline of those needing this form of medical intervention. She teaches the animal and the handler how to perform as one unit, and I am extremely grateful for her knowledge and experience.

We hired Marj when our dog was a puppy. She was to take him for two weeks and crate train him and potty train him. We both dropped him off and picked him up from Glad Wags. When we picked him up, he was skin and bones. Marj told us she had had to repeatedly spray him in the face with Listerine because he wouldn't stop crying. She advised us to do the same. The training we paid for included puppy classes at her facility after picking him up. We never returned after we saw how our dog was treated. The first picture is my dog the day after he came home from Marj's. The second is the day before he left.
