Having never been to a Korean barbecue I did not know what to expect. I was surprised at the price point of some of the food. However, the food combos which serve two to four people were generous. Portions in the marinated meats were actually delicious. However, I really didn't want to cook my own food. Each table has a grill in the middle of it, which upon being seated is lit so that it's hot by the time your food gets to the table. You then are given tongs and scissors too. Cook, flip and cut the different types of meat included in your order. Again, outside of cooking the food myself. I enjoyed the taste of the food. The ambiance and overall look and feel of the place did not feel like a place where I should have been spending over $200 to feed a table of five. I would have ranked it higher but again not a fan of cooking my own food. I may go again for happy hour and see what that's like solo or with one other person. It seems like having a larger party complicates things when you are reaching across the table to grab for your sorted chicken breasts and spare ribs.
This place is great for Korean bbq here in Columbus!! You actually get a grill and side dishes. Best I've had since moving to Columbus. I wish they offered hotter sauces for dipping though! Their side dishes are great too as well as the salad and soups!
So much food! I recommend the bulgogi, pork belly and citron soju! They provide a ton of sides to go with the main dish kimchi, jalapeños, onion, pickled veggies, etc and change out the grill for you. The kpop videos were interesting too!
Exceptional experience with grilling at your table with friend's; Korean BBQ is quite lovely. They also play K Pop, and have loads of diverse drinks . 4.7/5Food: 5/5
I passed by GoGi last Saturday and decided to stop back by during dinner time. Parking was scarce and about good timing. The wait was 20 - 30 minutes about what you'd expect a wait time to be. The food and service was great. We ordered Combo B I believe, with the Ribeye, short rib and NY stip. We also ordered Chicken fried rice which came out with huge pieces of tasty chicken pieces and was very delicious. Will definitely be returning to dine in the near future. They also offer a discount of 20 percent off your meal from 4-6pm, Monday- Friday.
This is an amazing place to have an experience with food! The service was exceptional - Nino explained everything and his personal attention was great! ! The food - WOW! Loved it! The table grill and the flavors and the whole night was an event worth repeating!
Great Food. Great Service. Good Times. Golgi Korean BBQ boiled down is a fun place to visit. The wide selection of soju helps! I forgot my credit card and just picked it up the next day. They kept it secure. The staff is lovely and helpful. Go eat here and have a great time.
Cozy with a style all it's own. What sets it apart from similar places I've frequented in California, is the design and the service. The most popular selection, was their group C which includes their marinated short ribs. Definitely did not disappoint. And the portions were just right, well at least from my side. Co worker was more than full with the pork short ribs left. Decent amount of choices for adults to drink befitting the atmosphere. I'll be sure to add this to my list of places to revisit in the future.
Wonderful meal. Highly recommend the bulgogi. $30/per person for a meal no alcohol or appetizers. A portion of meat to grill comes with a soup and rice and the 6 panchan veggies. For two we ordered bulgogi and LA style ribs- don't recommend the LA style it was too sweet but the bulgogi was excellent. Ask them to change the grill if it gets black which will happen quickly with sweet marinated meat. Quick and kind service, 1hr in and out. Btw saw a previous review about grilling your own meat- that's the Korean way! Min Ga Korean restaurant 2min away grills meats for you and brings to table if you don't prefer to cook your own meat. I also recommend stopping at Arirang Korean market also 2 min down the street to get some kimbap to go which they don't sell at Gogi!. We will be back!
If you love the Korean wave atmosphere this is the place for you. There wasn't smoke removal pipes directly above the grills at each table, but it was still nice. They do have service bells at the table, but I think the "Americanization" of the staff has the service bells ignored. But still it was wonderful
