Nice place to skateboard and bike! Lots of people come to skate. Its free! There is a basketball court beside this skate park. People take turns on their teicks here. There is restroom and water fountain to drink. Street parking are available.
Positive vibes, some really good skaters, family friendly, but needs cleaning. Debris and dried mud collecting at bottom of ramps. A good spray down will make it safer to skate.
Good mix of obstacles. But the BQE above dumps a lot of dust on it. Still something for everyone. The min-kidney pool is awkward.
I'm reviewing the skatepark area. Overall It's a great place to skate. Has various ramps and boxes and rails. Has a mini bowl. The big downside for me was how dusty it is under that bridge. My bearings were shot after a few hours skating there. Nothing a little cleaning won't fix though, bearings are fine after I cleaned them.
the people you meet here will definitely be long-term friends if you keep up the bond and the amount of talent that you can find in this park is just amazing. I definitely recommend it if you're a skateboarder or if you just want to make some cool new friends it's definitely the place to go everyone there is so open hearted
Golconda is pretty sick. Lots of space. If the park gets vibey, which it inevitably does sometimes, there’s 2-3 basketball courts to skate flat on. The mini-bowl is ridiculous. I have a love/hate thing with it.
Saw the park from a car window and thought to myself - “that’s cool I didn’t know there was a skate park under the bridge here.” Then separately thought about how I wished I was better at skateboarding. That’d be cool. Would for sure drive by again 5/5.
Good place but their are small rocks where you can fall skating I fell like I was break dancing one leg this way and the other one that way lol very funny
I had an emergency the other day and was looking for a bathroom. We noticed the custodian outside and asked him if the bathroom was open and he said yes, it seemed he had just finished cleaning. Well, I must say, I was very surprised to see how clean the bathroom was. It was not only clean but for a city park, it had toilet paper and soap in the soap dish, what a pleasant surprise. Earlier in the day I had gone to a gasoline station to get some water and went into the bathroom to wash my hands, well, I cannot tell you how filthy that bathroom was, urine on the floor, used toilet paper on the floor, it was disgusting compared to how clean and well kept this public park bathroom was. Thank you Mr. Custodian, for keeping your park so clean and we'll kept, from me to you, I APPRECIATE YOU. God bless and thank you.
One of the better skate parks located in downtown Brooklyn. Plenty of space and a variety of different types of ramps/pipes/bowls etc.
