A great place to purchase either a board or a fully built skateboard . The guy is very patient and makes you feel comfortable with making a decision on which board is best for you . He explains the different options available and which one would suits each person according to their needs. Honestly it’s my to-go place whenever I need new pieces for my skateboard. As a beginner I definitely recommend going to him for advice on what to purchase !!
Dan helped me build out my dream skateboard right in store and did all the assembly while we chatted about hardware and the pros/cons of different types of wheels and deck sizes. He is patient and super knowledgeable and made me, a beginner, feel right at home chatting with an experienced skater. I asked a million questions and tried out a bunch of different deck sizes, and he was so friendly and easygoing. I definitely recommend everyone come here for everything they need. I can’t wait to come back for more parts and chat about gaming consoles.
Came in for a quick grip tape service. Awesome shop. Nice atmosphere. Dan was super cool and we had a great conversation as he helped me out. Kenneth was cool. A definite recommend. Stop by and check out the cool decks. A cozy shop with cool people. I didn't even leave before it was added to my favorite places list
Went in as a complete beginner. I just wanted to get a complete and get out but pat helped me a ton with teaching me how to set up a skateboard and letting me try out some boards to see which felt the best for me. Really chill place and great for those who are new and have questions
If you’re a first-time skater, this place is perfect! I felt very welcome, even as a total novice. Not only did I get an awesome board, but I also got a super thorough introduction to the different board shapes, types of wheels, and basic technique. You can’t get that kind of expertise at a generic sporting goods store. I’d rate Skate Brooklyn 6 stars if could. :
Had a great experience. Came with a friend, first time buying skateboards for both of us, and the guys here were super helpful in picking out a board, and giving tips. My friend assembled his from parts, and talked the process thru with the guy at the counter. Both really friendly. Would definitely come back! Also, they give lessons.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a good selection of components at reasonable prices. I came in half an hour before close, and Patrick? was down to keep the lights on as long as needed to make sure I left with an awesome new set up. Definitely worth a visit.
Really nice workers and good skateboards
The guys here are really cool and willing to help whatever way to give you the right upgrades for what you want with your board. Although I haven't tried it, they do offer to actually add on whatever you bought for your board so if you bought new wheels they'll offer to put it on for you. The prices are fair and the workers are great so I highly recommend this skate shop.
Love the atmosphere. Guy behind the counter was super chill and knowledgeable also has such a crazy setup for his heelflips. Anyways fair prices and we need to support local skate shops. Come for the gear stay for the ramps and the vibes.
