Golden Corral

When I first moved to Tucson from Los Angeles, my thought was THE GOLDEN TROTH. But you can get your money's worth if you are a big eater. The best part is the STEAKS, very tender and cooked in front of you at desired doneness. The table service is excellent. Hats off to the waiters and waitresses. I guess I like it more after a few visits.

Went with my daughter expecting military discount (I am a recent veteran) and was told they only offer discounts to active duty...told the cashier WOW really? She agreed it was crazy and she told her boss all the time that it needs to be communicated to the CEO that there are more veterans that frequently dine than active duty as well as the fact that most veterans could use the discount financially rather than the active duty. The cashier lamented that her family members are veterans and they have been given the run around regarding serious health issues and she told me she feels that veterans get forgotten after no longer active...I agreed 100%. So if anyone from corporate reads these, pass on the word that financially speaking, it would do you good to offer discounts to veterans as well...not just on veteran's day(what veteran wants to stand in a line of 100 people just to receive a free or a discounted meal? We stood in lines in the military for years and done with that!)

Still as good as it was when I was a kid and used to come with my family. Its a little pricey for a lunch buffet but because the food is of such a good quality that it is really easy to eat your money's worth. 😂 really great for groups to eat at. A lot more fun.

It can be a bit busy, but they do their best to keep the food coming, and to keep the tables bussed. We went with a group,and they had no issue moving us to a better seating area once we realized our party was going to be larger. Food was okay. They do have some vegan options as well. We will eat again.

Almost all of the food was fresh. The cook in charge of steaks was pretty on top of making sure you got it how you wanted it. restraunt was clean. staff is very short with you, courteous but not the nicest. customer service is the reason for the 4 star review.
